Pic is Pasztecik Szczeciński (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pasztecik_szczeci%C5%84ski) which is a fast food dish from my home town in Poland. When I was a kid, Poland didn't have western fast food joints but for some reason only in the town I'm from we had this place which was always packed. There were I believe only 2 or 3 locations back then and on weekends there was always a long lineup pretty much all day long. Unfortunately these days while open in more locations it seems...

am looking for places to eat, preferably cheap, and what to expect, whatever kind of food goes.

Belgian here, if you want cheap places you can go to a "friterie" which is some kind of snack where you can get a "mitraillette" (bread with meat and french fries) and some other belgian stuff (fricadelle, etc.). Regarding beer, you have so many of them that i cant help you ...

You have to clarify what 'cheap' is to you. Food truck? Greasy spoon with a few tables? Affordable restaurant?
Hoegaarden Original White Ale is easy to find and a really nice, consistent witbier.
St. Bernardus Witbier is outstanding and you can get it at Délirium Café which is a must to visit anyway. I would generally avoid all the tourist trap restaurants on the streets leading to Délirium though.
If you want to try a quadrupel style beer, go for the always excellent Trappistes Rochefort 10.

/ck/ I have a question for you. I've been watching some cooking videos and such lately and I keep hearing them mention you should never put your cooking knives in the dishwasher because it will "ruin them". I've also heard this IRL as well but whenever I ask how it would supposedly ruin them I get a "it just will" or occasionally some retard spouting "it'll ruin the temper" which is complete and under bullshit unless your dishwasher is using Satan's piss to rinse your dishes.
So what's the real answer because I see...

It's probably just that, people letting them smash against each other in the utensil bin. Still, it is more convenient to just wash them in the sink, it takes all of 10 seconds.
Back in the day handles were and continue to be comprised of wood. Wood needs special care, a light oil wipe. long periods in a dishwasher remove the oil and dry the wood out causing it to shrink and become loose over time.
Modern composite handles pose no such problem and are dishwasher safe.

I just had steel cut oats for the first time today with a nice glob of extra chunky peanut butter and blueberries mixed in.
My god, why didn't my mother make this shit for me as a kid? I always hated oatmeal caus I've always been fed that instant shit that doesn't even have any chewable oats in it.

It is physically impossible for this place to get "better" in the way you describe. The only way it could happen is if hiroshima could figure out who is under 18 and magically eliminate them without destroying anonymity. This of course is not possible.

Not at all. I really want to know about the two knives. The price after discounting is the same. However, prior to discounting the less expensive knife looks to have the better steel which is confusing. It's marginally harder and lists being better than more types. What does it depend on?
so for some reason I bought a couple pounds of chicken gizzards, does any of you cookbros know any good practical recipes on how to cook these bad boys? hopefully I enjoy them since their cheaper than balldick.
Skewer them, grill them, and make a few different dipping sauces.
Otherwise just poach them, grind them up, and make a pate.
