At what point do Michelin stars become redundant? Surely the food at a 2 michelin star restaurant will be as good as a 3 michelin star restaurant? Won't the other star be for things like "atmosphere" and "prestige"?

You really think they'd leave such an important rating down to "aesthetic"? Are you retarded?

Could you taste the difference between a 2 and 3 star Michelin resturant?
>>

I doubt I could. I'm a pretty casual eater.

Could you?

Lol you fags will argue about anything.
What do you eat your doughnuts with?
>Milk?
>Coffee?

Depends on the type of donut. If it's glazed, I'll opt for coffee. If it's a cake donut (the superior type of donut), I'll opt for milk.
>>
Milk makes me shit
Coffee tastes like shit
So neither
>>
I like donuts and coffee, but I've regeretted every attempt at dipping donuts into coffee

Dipping donuts into milk, however, is a winning combination.

Did I kill him? I rarely think about this and don't feel any guilt but am still curious if it was that shitty salmon I pushed that made him choke.

What are some other linecooks/chefs horror stories? I'm talking about Mother's Day tier shit hitting the fan stories.

Does it matter if it was the shitty one? All the salmon came off your station. You definitely killed him.

Either that or you're a big fat liar. Did the restaurant close temporarily after the death? Did the health dept come to look into it?

I hate them. Once I tried to find pizza dough to use in a pizza (didn't think ahead enough to make it) but none of the stores I looked in had it, even whole foods was out, so I bought one of the premade ones. Terrible. Reminded me of lunchables in the worst way possible.

I'm having trouble finding a place for these "healthy" things in my traditional diet of bread and meat. Frying just wilts them, steaming is abhorent, kale smoothies are a meme--are boring salads my only option?

They're only boring if you make them boring. Also kale chips are easy and good.

When making Caramelized Onions, how does Anon usually slice them? Pole to pole or cross-wise? Is the difference what you are using them for?
11 posts and 3 images submitted.
>>
Straight down, pole to pole.

But do whatever's quickest for you. Slight variations in size don't really matter when the end result is basically mush.
>>
Slice them in half stem-end to root-end, remove the skin, place cut side down and slice into thin half moons.
I caramelise over high heat, taking only 20-30 minutes to do so. I add a bit of wine or beer from time to time to both aid in caramelisation (as the sugars in the wine/beer themselves caramelise) as well as to prevent burning (because wine and beer are both water-based liquids, duh).

it's funny how you found a picture of not-caramelized onions to go with your shit post.

How? Do You add water etc.

Sure, they taste great with nothing, especially skin-on. Hate people who douse them in fat. If anything, douse them in sugar syrup or some sort of sweet/sour sauce.
