You drink AT LEAST a gallon of water a day, right /ck/?
>>7710749
what does it mean if i cum out kidney stones? they smell rancid rite
>>7710749
How does a person drink a gallon every day? all i can picture is just guzzling from the gallon jugs constantly.
>>7710749
i've gotten better at drinking water after I found out I can buy a little fake plastic lime filled with lime juice and squirt it into my cup before pouring the water.
most water sucks, and fiji is too expensive
My brother gets kidney stones and won't listen to reason. I tell him to drink more water, he says his arizona tea is mostly water so it should count. well it obviously fucking doesn't if you're still getting them
This used to be my home board but I haven't come here in awhile so I don't know how the discussion topics really go anymore, forgive me in advance.
I want to know what you guys think of some day robots taking over the fast food industry as opposed to having humans doing it. Eventually we'll get to that right? I say this as a service industry worker.
My friend told me that wanting this environment would fall into a category called "techno anarchist" where all physical jobs would be preformed by robots/drones/what have you and the humans could live in a utopia at home.
There are already places where you use some kind of kiosk to order food and then someone (a person) makes it in the back and it's delivered to you.
Also in South Korea they have stores that have touch screens for items and when you leave get a basket of groceries. Obviously, there are still people moving products, but that's pretty advanced and cuts down on theft by a great deal I'm sure.
So would you guys be okay with going to places where a machine being operated by a person somewhere else, made your food after you pushed some buttons at a counter?
If anything I think the service sectors are the last to get robotized, not because you can't do it, but because there's a premium value associated with human contact. Take Japan for instance, heavily automated society, but damned if they don't hire a lot of people for their fast food places. Same with the US, there's often no point in having cashiers from a functional point of view, but they're good for business appeal.
Fast food "cooks" basically are robots already, so I don't see why it wouldn't be fine. They'd still need to hire technicians to make sure everything is running smoothly, and it wouldn't work in a real restaurant where people actually cook.

How soon do you think we'll see it in fast food restaurants?

It's gonna be quite awhile. One hamburger made out of the stuff costs thousands to produce.

Let's play a game /ck/. You get to pick 3 toppings for your burger. They can be anything you want, so long as you don't go over 3. Sauces, condiments, salad, bacon, whatever.
But here's the catch. Once you pick your 3, these are the only things you'll be able to have on a burger ever again. So choose wisely.

Why is spag bol such a popular dish? I cannot say that I understand the "appeal"
>>7710182
Because properly made bol' simmered for hours is delicious, it's the epitome of comfort food.

Cycling for more than 20 miles without water and 50 miles without food is really really bad idea.
Most cyclists use bananas, gronola bars, power gels/bars and even chocolate. I'm not a pro cyclist, so I'm looking for more interesting alternatives. Be creative, it can be anything that's:
1. Small/easy to carry.
2. High in carbs.
3. Low in protein (optional).
4. Little-to-no fat (optional).
>>7701353
what's more interesting to you. Jerky? Semen?
>more than 20 miles without water
isn't a 20 mile bike ride well under an hour for an average cyclist? you should be fine. Same with 50 miles without food. You seem like you should work on getting in better shape before looking at exciting food ideas.
Also, the low protein and high fat things shouldn't really be optional, there's a reason people tend to avoid them when doing cardio, they are slow to digest and won't have you feeling great.
Fruit snacks are always a safe bet. Fruits that aren't very high in fiber (bananas, like you said, are the best example) are standards for a reason. Gummis are great as well. The classics are classics for a reason
Bananas, granola bars, power gels, chocolate.
Alright /ck/, this thread isn't made to troll, it's to try and have an actual discussion.
I became a vegan roughly 6 months ago, and was vegetarian a year before that. I fucking love the taste of meat, and the convenience of going out with friends and just being able to go to any place and eat anything is something that's sorely missed. A lot of things contributed to the choice, but honestly the main one that keeps me going is how fucking retarded so many people are when they get into arguments with vegans and have none.
I like to think I'm a pretty logical guy, so when my friend introduced me to it I debated him for a long time. The fact is that I was eventually completely out logic'd, with my only remaining argument being "I eat it because it tastes good."
Beyond that, you get into a discussion of whether being a superior species justifies our right to do whatever we want with lower species, but that's a different type of debate. I was able to admit to myself that the only reasons for eating meat, is either out of want, out of needing to for survival, or out of not wanting to make such a huge change in your life.
I 100% respect people that just straight up tell me they know animal husbandry is kind of fucked up, that it's detrimental to the planet and maybe, MAYBE they're someone that understands it's possible to get all vitamins elsewhere, but that they have other shit to worry about in their lives that directly affects them so they just don't care. I understand that, I do.
But fuck the people that jump through mental hoops to actually try and justify why it's not a problem in this day and age, why it's perfectly fine and why vegans are the crazy ones.
I honestly remain vegan out of wanting to be on the side where their only bad quality is caring about life and forcing it too hard on others, over the side that actively supports killing shit for their own pleasure. Pic related, one of the many substitutes. Please come at me.

Cucumber water has to be the most refreshing drink in the world. I can't drink plain tap water anymore.
I will have to try that. Sounds like a good idea, and I even have cucumber in my fridge.

This is a thread for anons to talk about eating on a budget.
Hanging in there?
Anyways I need to complete my weekly shopping trip tomorrow. I usually get
milk
eggs
pasta/sauce
some sort of soup
butter
minor ingredients for recipies (flour/sugar/baking soda)
and this typically runs to 25 pretty quick, which is all I get
would like some alternatives, maybe
particularly fitting meat into my diet, which I haven't had in months
microwaveable dinners and frozen pizzas
homemade sandwiches
chips and various snacks, chocolate bars
for really tight budget, pasta and potato
meh foods: home cooked meat, eggs, milk, rice and beans
>>7706491
Is pasta and potato really the cheapest food?
