Ramen is good but we hate it because college students who don't want to put effort into cooking will come here asking for "Ramen Hacks"

get over yourself you cunt
Anybody else like pig ears? They have a really interesting texture, so I realize that's probably pretty divisive.
I love them though. Just had a great pig ear salad at a new fusion place with ginger, fish sauce, chilis, and celery.

Yeah, they really have that reputation. Probably the reason that, even at Michelin-starred restaurants, they're always <$10.
I really can see that stigma dying in the next couple years

Help me make this shit chili recipe less shit please
Can of kidney beans
Can of chili beans
Can of crushed tomatoes
Can of tomato sauce
1/2 cup brown rice
1/4 lb ground beef
1 Tsp paprika
1 Tsp garlic powder
1 Tsp cayenne powder
1/2 tbsp salt
All ingredients except meat and rice are put in a large pot and heated to boil, then simmered. Meat is cooked in a pan and put in the chili after draining the grease. The rice is cooked seperately and added to the pot when it's done.
This tastes really digusting btw, don't use this recipe.
What do you guys like to do with coconuts? What food should someone try that goes great with coconut?
/coconutgeneral/
mix a little shredded coconut into some panko bread crumbs.
dredge shrimp in crumbs. deep-fry.
I only like it for desserts, really. Otherwise I just eat it plain. Young coconut is especially tasty.
Laksa.
ITT: underrated sauces
it's basically horseradish-flavored mayonnaise, but i love it. i like it on almost every kind of sandwich and burger, but it's unavailable in most restaurants.

i've personally never had it, but i frequently hear keto people talk about it.

I did not have good luck with this. I'll have to try it again.
Most American thickburger thread.
We discuss the world's most obnoxious burger.
Topics to discuss:
> Would you eat it?
> Would you eat it NOT as a novelty or "just to say you did"?
> Should burgers like this be illegal?
> Is this burger a commentary on American society?
etc.

They sold like shit and were removed from the menu faster than any specialty burger they had. Really nothing else to say from there.
>More is better
"""""No."""""
I would rather eat a standard burger, a hotdog, and chips separately. No need to pile them onto eachother like that.
hey guys so i started a new diet and it calls for a couple of things i dont like. is there anyway i can replace the following with something else that is of equal nutritional value.?
cherry tomatoes
bananas
orange juice
Actually, if you outright omit them instead of replacing them, it could be better for you. Do you realize how much sugar is in bananas and orange juice?
If you need to replace them with something, then use spinach or kale or something.
No subs. Find another diet. or don't diet. depends on the goals.
>>7062586
yes, basically i make a smoothie right now thats banana, oj, spinach and whey. i dont really like oj or bananas what would be a good substitue thats just as healthy.
as for the tomatoes im just trying to get veggies so should i go carrots and broccoli ?

fatty meme beef

It's the creme dela meme of seafood from what I've heard, just tried some. It's a solid 7, definitely enjoyable, but people trump this shit up to be the second coming of seafood jesus.
Here's the key thing to know about beef burgers:
There are basically 3 major types of beef burgers and for the most part you can't combine toppings from each one. Trying to create 'hybrid burgers' from elements of the items listed below will ONLY end in sorrow.
Without further ado, here's the list.
> Standard beef burger.
May have,
Ketchup,
Mustard,
Pickles,
Fried onions,
Cheese,
Bacon.
Mayo, lettuce and tomato on this burger are absolutely haram.

Ground meat is not a fucking delicacy. Put whatever you want on it. Take your autism somewhere else.

take your ciabatta elsewhere, gimp.
Hey /ck/!
When I look up recipes on American websites they often use onion or garlic powder but they're not sold in my country.
What can I use instead? How do you make a onion or garlic powder substitute from fresh ingredients?
Seeing as how they're for taste, why not just mince garlic/onion
What is Transylvania like?
>>7062521
Wouldn't that taste differently?
What is the key to the perfect dish?
You can't perfect a dish.
A bit of a vague question, depends on what the purpose of the dish is.
you start with the perfect ingredients then you combine them in the perfect order then you cook them to perfection.
Would you eat this, familia?
Nope
If it didn't cost 15 fucking dollars, sure.
Yea, but wouldn't eat on a regular basis.
Sweet and salty go very good together, anybody that thinks otherwise has never eaten caramelized onion or fat on a good brisket.
So I got a new position at the resraunt I work at. I open in the mornings and now its my job to come up with the soup of the day.I don't really know how to make soup that well. Also its veterains day tomorrow and I want to make an all american soup. Does anyone know of some place I can get a good but yet very simple recipe? Or maybe share one of yours with me.
>>7062446
You use leftovers and whatever else is cheap/in season
>>7062446
My work has all kinds of things to make it with. I have really no limit of what I can do.
>>7062453
Yes. But I don't really know how to make a soup. Let alone a soup that would please american troops on veterains day.
