Necessary information:
The book is a copy of "Amy Vanderbilt's Complete Cookbook," from 1963, which my girlfriend and her dad got from a thrift store in May last year.
The image appeared on the back of some old stationary bearing the name "Bill Carrington."
Bill Carrington is her grandfather, and she confirmed the stationary's as his own.
She had made sure before placing the book on the shelf for the first time that there were no papers between the pages in order to preserve the text quality, making it unclear when exactly the stationary appeared.
We both have our first impressions and did contact her grandparents, but are by and large unsure of what this could mean, and why it chose to appear now.
I have more pictures and details and don't know who to turn to.
/x/, we really need your help.
Your gf is fat.

It looks just like this paper has been laid on top of another drawing in pencil, rubbing off onto it.
This is interesting.

Greetings, and welcome to The /x/ Files, the weekly news digest for 4chan's Paranormal board. Every Sunday, we take a quick snapshot of the mysterious world around us and bring it, in an easily readable magazine format, to the board. I am The Editor, the anonymous creator of this idea and collector of the news that will be following below. In the interests of legitimacy, I will be using a secure tripcode to post the thread; once the posts are completed, I will take the tripcode off and return to my anonymity.
Slow, shitty news week. So, no news! Oh, except for England decucking itself. SO LONG, FOUTH REICH!

Coast to Coast AM with George Noory
Monday: MLK Assassination/UFOs & Nukes

In the latter half, noted researcher Robert Hastings talked about the UFO-Nukes connection.
Tuesday: Ian Punnett Update
In the first half, former Coast to Coast AM host Ian Punnett, who is working on his PhD, spoke about his latest book: A Black Night for the Bluegrass Belle, detailing the 1936 murder of his family member Verna Garr Taylor - a story as dark and twisty as an old Kentucky backroad on a moonless night. Open Lines followed.
Wednesday: Managing Your Money/Remote Viewing Discoveries
In the first half, financial advisor Catherine Austin Fitts spoke with George about good financial planning and the world economy. In the second half, Robert Morningstar checked in to discuss his experiences in remote viewing, lucid dreaming and out-of-body travel.
Thursday: Watergate Hoax/Prehistoric Civilizations
In the first half, Ashton Gray has spent many years investigating the Watergate break-ins of 1972. Gray says that the idea from the beginning was to embarrass Nixon out of office so that the CIA could win a race against the Soviet Union in ESP applications. The two biggest obstacles were Nixon and Scientology founder L. Ron Hubbard. Nixon, because he wanted to decrease the power of the CIA, and Hubbard, because Gray says he had discovered some of the true secrets of practical parapsychology. In the second half, Matthew Petti discussed his research, which he believes points to a superior race of humans who existed before recorded history, sometime between 4 to 7 million years ago.
Friday: Paranormal Encounters
Paranormal researcher and author Mike Ricksecker discussed his encounters with the paranormal, including shadow people and ghosts. Open Lines followed.

Expanded Perspectives: The Hoia Baciu Forest
On this episode of Expanded Perspectives the guys start off talking about how three amateur archaeologists recently found the largest Viking gold hoard ever discovered in Denmark. Then, one of Indiana’s most haunted hotspots has been scaring off midnight visitors and road workers alike for hundreds of years, but now the mysterious Grave in the Middle of the Road has gotten even stranger after the discovery of not one, but seven bodies under the single headstone. After the break Cam brings up the unusual and mystifying Hoia Baciu Forest. The forest is situated near Cluj-Napoca, Romania, covers an area of over 250 hectares, and has a reputation for intense paranormal activity. Reports include ghost sightings, unexplained apparitions, faces appearing in photographs that were not visible with the naked eye, and UFO sightings. Visitors to the forest often report intense feelings of anxiety and the feeling of being constantly watched. Most people who live near the forest are afraid to enter, and the ones who have been brave enough to venture in complained of rashes, nausea, migraines, burns, and scratches.

Thinking Sideways Podcast: Joseph Newton Chandler III
When police responded to the suicide of Joseph Newton Chandler III, they figured it would be pretty routine. He'd shot himself in the head in his apartment, case closed. However, when probate lawyers took hold of the case, they found out that the real Joseph Newton Chandler III had died 57 years prior in a car accident with his parents. This now John Doe has never been identified, but clues into his life are nothing if not intriguing.

Thoughts on The Amityville Horror?
>>17852413
Meh, about a 5/10
Eh. The thing that always stuck with me was that the oldest son despised George. He still does.
That said, if George and Kathy concocted the whole story, why has he maintained that it happened? He could have easily said that George manipulated his mother into going along with it. He could refuse to speak about it all together. Guys got his own decent life in New York; he didn't make money on the recent documentary about him. He called it "therapy".
You could argue that George imparted some bias on him, possibly. But the shit he witnessed first hand is a bit hard to explain and write off. Even after Kathy and George divorced, they never recounted. Neither have any of the other children.
I just have a hard time writing it off completely.
>>17852486
Maybe they didn't want to implicate their mother in an insurance fraud scheme

New readers should post that they're offering readings and what information they require from a querent.

Hello. Lately everythings been shit for me. I feel down and very sad. I have no friends, thats sad. And at this moment I dont really want to be around new people either. Just wanted to ask when this feeling will go away. I know life cant always be fun and exciting, but it affects me more than never now. Just want to relax and focus on thing, but I cant. Seems like depression is trying to take over me.
Seriously, I'm just really tired of dealing with crazies talking about shortcuts to power. I'll answer whatever questions I can, but there are no shortcuts.
Ho do I get power??????

Constant slow-ass study of how energy works. The more you understand, the more you can manipulate, and the more you can do
>>17850297
How much dick so you suck?
Guys I'm scared, I was just chillin in my room and I decided I wanted to go to sleep. So I turned off my light but it did this strange flickering thing. I read about this before. When a ghost pasts through a lightbulb it flickers because of all the energy. So I tried to turn it back on and it won't. I'm pretty sure the ghost is sitting right on top of the light.
>inb4 'the lightbulb just burns out retard
No because I just bought these from the dollar store last week and it said 'life time guaranteed'
>pic related its the room that lost the light
>>17850123
Lol
My light bulb outside my room also went out and there's an evil entity fucking around my house right now.
Shit's too spooky son. I hope you don't die

>>17849476
Someone that pissed his friends brother off more than likely. R.I.P Dave.
It's a hexagram. I don't recognize the circles and shit, though.
It's benign in meaning mostly.
