Necessary information:
The book is a copy of "Amy Vanderbilt's Complete Cookbook," from 1963, which my girlfriend and her dad got from a thrift store in May last year.
The image appeared on the back of some old stationary bearing the name "Bill Carrington."
Bill Carrington is her grandfather, and she confirmed the stationary's as his own.
She had made sure before placing the book on the shelf for the first time that there were no papers between the pages in order to preserve the text quality, making it unclear when exactly the stationary appeared.
We both have our first impressions and did contact her grandparents, but are by and large unsure of what this could mean, and why it chose to appear now.
I have more pictures and details and don't know who to turn to.

In the first half, Ashton Gray has spent many years investigating the Watergate break-ins of 1972. Gray says that the idea from the beginning was to embarrass Nixon out of office so that the CIA could win a race against the Soviet Union in ESP applications. The two biggest obstacles were Nixon and Scientology founder L. Ron Hubbard. Nixon, because he wanted to decrease the power of the CIA, and Hubbard, because Gray says he had discovered some of the true secrets of practical parapsychology. In the second half, Matthew Petti discussed his research, which he believes points to a superior race of humans who existed before recorded history, sometime between 4 to 7 million years ago.

Eh. The thing that always stuck with me was that the oldest son despised George. He still does.
That said, if George and Kathy concocted the whole story, why has he maintained that it happened? He could have easily said that George manipulated his mother into going along with it. He could refuse to speak about it all together. Guys got his own decent life in New York; he didn't make money on the recent documentary about him. He called it "therapy".
You could argue that George imparted some bias on him, possibly. But the shit he witnessed first hand is a bit hard to explain and write off. Even after Kathy and George divorced, they never recounted. Neither have any of the other children.
I just have a hard time writing it off completely.

Guys I'm scared, I was just chillin in my room and I decided I wanted to go to sleep. So I turned off my light but it did this strange flickering thing. I read about this before. When a ghost pasts through a lightbulb it flickers because of all the energy. So I tried to turn it back on and it won't. I'm pretty sure the ghost is sitting right on top of the light.
