Do you understand the implications if this is some sort of hidden universal law for creating beings? We could gain nearly unlimited power through control of them. Think clearly now, if you can define a persona and power level for them what is stopping you from creating a godlike being that will serve you? Could you not tell them to inhabit certain objects you carry with you? Could you not use them to murder people you don't like? What does /x/ think of this book? I'm 2 chapters in and I'm enjoying seeing the views on the government so far.
Also, spooky moment came after my friend borrowed this book from another friends brother. When he gave it to us he said "just so you know, after I got this book I've been followed a few times by unmarked cars" us being faggot brushed it off as him being paranoid. A few days later I'm driving with my friend around town when I notice a grey car, newer model, no license plate, and Windows tinted so black you couldn't see in, definitely illegal. Once we notice it i decide to check if it's still following us and take a sharp turn, it kind of just keeps going. Could've been a coincidence but still pretty spooky.

Today at around 1:28PM Eastern Time, and over the next 15 minutes there were 3 "all station, all station" EAMs (characterized by "stand by" phrase) and a 4th that was repeated twice about 10 minutes later, a single coded message lasting over 7 minutes.
In the same half hour-hour, there were 8-9 sonic booms heard and felt along the NJ shoreline. I don't know if they are related, but if they are, perhaps there was some kind of urgent incursion of a military nature taking place?
First there were public denials of jet activity by several nearby bases, then NBC reports it was due to testing of the F35. I'm taking that with a grain of salt. You can read these live updates as they occurred on this page:

hello /x/, i have no idea where to ask this so... i found this weird "box" that i got from my grandma (she's into sensing energy and stuff like that) a few years ago when i had lots of random panic attacks. i remember she had said it was used against bad energies and that i should have just kept it away from any kind of technology. i have no idea what to do with it now, since i've never really used it...does anyone have any idea what the signs even mean? what do i do with it now, just put in near my bed? she also said she got it from some special place where different energies cross lines or something like that and that i can't get it anywhere else... i don't know anything about energy and auras so if anyone could help me out with figuring what exactly this is i would be very grateful.

I get vivid dreams while going to sleep after being really sleep deprived, they're half way between daydreams and deep sleep dreams, so I can remember them well and they're more coherent than usual dreams but are still weird.
The one that stuck with me was some scientists who are working at a research base on a frozen planet. Over the course of several weeks going out and collecting samples in the wilderness one of them starts seeing black sillouettes of people in the far distance, even though the planet's got no life, and the figures are standing slightly closer each time the scientists go out. The other scientists don't seem to notice them.
One time it's just him and another guy out in the middle of nowhere and the other guy tells him they're the planet's inhabitants and they just like watching people, nobody knows why they're there. But when he quizzes the guy again after they get back to the base the guy has no idea what he's talking about. Also a female scientist who stays in the base is having hallucinations, like a dead deer lying in the lab.
Thought it might be a fun starting point for a story, but I don't know where to take it.

My girlfriend can use visualization to an extent where it's like she can create her own dimension. She can create and go places in her mind and see, touch, smell, and feel them. Basically an internal holodeck. She said she was able to do it at a fairly young age.
How can I learn this skill? We want to both do it and attempt to find a way to share one, but first I must learn to do it. She can't really explain how it's done. Any suggestions?
