Maybe op is stuck in a time loop.
Lately I've been doing a basic meditation... get grounded, focus on breath, allow the highest and finest frequencies to unlock and release old wounds, heal my body and soul, and... most importantly... connect me with the Universe.
No big deal, right? Except lately I've been... doing things. My eyes will open, and sitting there I will find my head turns in various directions and stays still, arms take various poses and hold them for 10 to 60 seconds, and images of "energy" moving in/out come to mind.
I'm doing my best to stay calm and "allow".. but it's... odd. I don't feel like I am consciously doing this. It just seems like my body is doing it by itself. I don't feel out of control... I mean I know if I just decided to end the meditation, that would be it... but... at the same time I really don't feel like these poses are my idea.
Never the same ones twice. Only once, yesterday, did I have the impression of an invisible object in front of me... for almost five minutes (I'm guessing) my right hand lay down flat on a "slate" and my left hand held it from below, palm upward... physically I didn't feel the slate but it felt like I was there.
THere's no implied reason behind any of these positions, just... the only assurance I get is that it's "part of the process".
Has anybody heard of this? I'm kinda feeling a bit like a freak here...

I don't meditate but sometimes when I'm zoning out, I find myself moving my head in a certain direction, or maybe just saying words that don't make much sense to me, kind of like something that just popped in my head. Nothing like "beans so random lol XD" just simple stuff like "doghound" or "these fucking niggers can't drive". Maybe just your subconscious OP? Sounds like you're Bretty Gud at getting in tune with it. Maybe it's like when you stare really hard at one thing for a long time, and the colors and shades start to change

Is there such a thing as anti-magic? Is there magic that's specifically used to reject and cancel out curses, demons, spirits, and overall bad mojo?
I ask this because I know some witches and they are bad people. They curse everyone they don't like and I'm really getting tired of it.
Banishing and warding. It's a normal part of spellcasting, but you can banish, ward, and then just not do magic if you don't want ANY magic around.

Hey /x/. I'm completely hopeless and I don't know what to do. This story will come in parts otherwise it will just be a wall of text. Pic kind of related.

In the earliest Buddhist texts, the Buddha's awakening is directly related to his breakthrough insight into the nature of rebirth and its causal links. It begins with aging and death, what is the cause of aging and death? He realizes, birth is the cause of aging and death, if there were no birth, there would be no aging and death. That much makes sense, right? But then he continues, what is the cause of birth? And concludes that "becoming" (bhava) is the cause of birth and it continues through the 12 links down to ignorance.
This is a pre-scientific view from 2500 years or more ago that conceives of birth happening within a closed system of rebirth. In other words, in our modern times, influenced by science, someone might wonder "what is the cause of aging and death?" and conclude similarly to Buddha that "birth is the cause of aging and death" in a general sense but would not go further than birth. What is the cause of birth? Well, if modern science is right, the only cause of birth is the reproduction process of one's parents. You, as such, had no prior existence, no past actions leading to this life; you are spontaneously arisen at birth.
Has science disproven rebirth? Why is it that scientists only ever debate Christians and Muslims and never Buddhists or Hindus? It seems easy, to me, to disprove the whacky ideas of special creationism, but Buddhism has its own take on evolution that includes the idea of rebirth.
Was the basis of Buddha's religion fundamentally wrong? If rebirth isn't real, then ascetic disciplines to wither away one's craving for existence have little significance, since we would all just die at death and not exist anymore. The whole basis of Buddhism is that you cannot escape the cycle of rebirths just by dying, you must complete the spiritual path, which by its nature is rather ascetic and anhedonic, a lifelong undertaking that requires a serious commitment.
Also, modern philosophers and scientists love to use the Buddha's insights into non-self (anatta) which explains the various aspects of being without resorting to a concept of an essential self, but they rarely cite their sources. People like Daniel Dennet, Derek Parfitt, etc read as if they just finished a 20 year personal study of Buddhism and decided to repackage what they learned without any reference back to Buddhism. They want the insight without the corresponding discipline for ending rebirth; they reject the concept of rebirth but keep the concept of insubstantiality.
If Buddha lived today, would he accept the claims of modern science, which deny rebirth? Would he accept that he had a spontaneous birth and that his death is cessation, whether he lives a highly disciplined life or entirely indulgent life? Or would he defy the scientists and still uphold the concept of rebirth and the necessity of living the holy life?
I don't believe the claims of secular Buddhists that the original teaching was secular; I think it's inseparable from the idea of rebirth and the early texts prove it.

Why take birth and rebirth literally? Your ego is born and reborn. You are now what your past actions have made you and your actions now determine what you will be in the future. The ego is constantly forming and reforming, but habit makes the latest much like the one before.

How bout dat? Well, it's not historical, it's not textual, it's a modern watered down way of understanding it. I would ask, what does it matter, if death is cessation for all beings? Who cares about ego and whatnot, if life is just this brief experience before annihilation?
I think once you pull the rug of rebirth from under Buddhism, the whole thing crumbles apart.

Used to work at a medical test facility. Where they do those blind studies. Well on holidays when it was just me and no one else in the building ID have TVs turn on by themselves and catch a glimpse of things moving in the rooms windows. Where I work now in this dirt lot where I have to go check seals on refrigerated trailers, I hear things moving in the tree line in the foliage. Follwoing me down the fence. Truck drivers tell me they see stuff back there. I had one ask me if anything weird happens back there because he has kind of a 6th sense and something was trying to scare him out of the area.
Working at old pub, around 1:00am get the bottom of my shirt pulled down, like someone tugging on it. I look down, see no one. Hear little kid laughing around the corner to the toilets. (No kids allowed in gaming area). Go and check and no one is in either genders bathrooms. Couple on pokies mention they heard a kid laugh too.
A friend was guarding a construction site at night, doing the usual patrols, slowly becoming convinced he could hear people running around just out of sight. Came back to his booth at one point to find that someone had placed a fucking baby dolls head on his chair.

Yes. I have BPD due to abuse as a child and as a result suffer from episodes of derealization/dissociation/delusions during stressful situations. It feels like my hands and feet are miles away and tiny and huge at the same time. Sounds are muffled and everything feels like it reaches me consciously with a long delay. I have had several catatonia-like episodes where I lapse into a state of silence; no thinking, very hard to move my body and think. I don't feel anything when this happens, emotionally or physically. When I was being abused, this state came on and saved me from having to experience it, so I don't really hate it. It's annoying, though... because it's a really useless technique now that I'm an adult.
I'm on an antidepressant now, which has helped with many of the symptoms.
I have a story to share with you anons maybe you can help me identify what happened.

A bit backstorry: I live near a forest which i was visiting since I was little and never experienced nothing simmilar to this.
So basically i went to forest lately and had this strange feeling of being followed.
It was like something was walking besides me and i could hear the leaves moving nearby
but since i was with may friends I though screw it probably overreacting.
Altho a few days later i was in the same forest alone and it was way creeepier i could hear same thing but this time on both sides of me.
Shit my pants a little since it was much more intense than last time. It persisted untill i left forest.
Noped out of the forest as fast as i could but still had this weird feeling after leaving it.
And before anyone points out wind moving leaves or me doing it there was no possibility of it there was no wind and no leaves on the path i was walking.
Any idea what it could be, anyone experienced something simmilar ?

I don't really bother with detail about the story anymore because it happened so long ago and nobody believes me anyway, but when I was a kid I was riding my bike down a path in the woods at my grandpas farm and saw a goddamn tree stand up on two legs for a second.
I fucked off out of those woods and never went back in. Being older now and with literally no other reports of anything like that, ever so far as I can tell I don't really believe it anymore. Had to be me mistaking something else.
