Is This George Washington´s Ghost?
Joshua P. Warren shares this new photograph of what may be George Washington's ghost. It was recently captured in Maryland by Lisa Moulden. For enhancements and more info, please visit JoshuaPWarren.com.
http://www.coasttocoastam.com/photo/category/most-recent/?photo_id=79107#79107/Is-This-George-Washingtons-Ghost
On Sunday, December 6, 2015, this photograph was taken at the Middleton Tavern, in Annapolis, Maryland; a place once frequented by President George Washington, and now known to be haunted by his ghost. After extensive analysis by Warren and his team, they believe it is authentic. Look at the dark figure on the left side of the image, apparently looking to his left (a profile) and walking out of the frame. The figure appears to be approximately 6 feet tall, and Washington was 6'2" in his prime.

You need to master astral travel and voodoo to be able to forcibly time travel.

How do you Astral travel. I mean I had an out of body experience if that counts.

Hey /x/philes,
I've been away for a good few years and decided to check back in. The whole landscape of /x/ seems different now. I was just wondering if there's anyone around who remembers "the tower"?
A few years back it was something that a lot of /x/philes shared and engaged with. Is there still anyone around who even knows about it?

Be less obvious next time, Mr. King.
>>17681160
It's just an easy nickname associated with the word "tower" to identify myself.
The Tower from /x/ was unrelated to anything by Stephen King.
>>17681168
Uh huh.
You know it's okay to admit when you've made a mistake, right?
Hey /x/ so a close family friend of mine says he can contact and even command Djinn. But what even are they? Extra-Demsional beings? Angels? And are there any anons here that use Djinn as well?

Genies
A young boy sat quietly atop a rusty foldable chair amidst an ocean of distant relatives that he did not recognize. Completely stoic, his gaze was fixated on some nonexistent objective, as if he were concentrating on some aspiration that laid just beyond his line of sight. One by one, the sea of second cousins and great uncles begin to dwindle, each family member ambling up to the framed photograph of the young boy's older brother that loomed over the moderate assembly.
When the young boy had finally asked his parents about his brother's death, his father bent down on his knees and met the his son eye to eye. The father hesitated. Gathering a few deep breaths, he told his son that the young boy's brother was murdered by a demon. As he ran his brittle fingers through his hair, the father began to tell his last remaining child the story of the devil who lives inside a bottle.
Long ago, before the youngest son could walk, the older brother had found a mysterious bottle that held inside of it a demon that was just as powerful as it was cunning. In the beginning, the creature of the bottle was pleasant and enticing. The older brother brought the bottle home with him, assured that he had found a new friend in which to share his life with. Soon, the spirit revealed to the older brother that it had the power to grant him any wish that he could whisper inside of the bottle. At first, he only used the wishes sparingly, but as time went on, he became more and more addicted to the wishes that the demon would grant for him. What the older brother did not realize is that for every wish that he whispered inside of the monster's bottle, the tighter its grasp became over his heart. After a few years, the brother became completely dependent on the spirit's wishes as he could not make it though his day without summoning it's power multiple times.
>>17682348
As his dependency grew, so did his anger and violence. The older brother began to resent the rest of his family for their autonomy and self reliance while he was forced to cary the demon on his side at all times.
Confused, the young boy began to ask more questions about how his brother came to meet his end. The father patiently waited for his son's inquiries to subside before continuing on with the story.
Like any concerned guardians, the parents had tried to loosen the iron grip that the demon had on their son. Despite their best of intentions, the older brother's soul had become corrupted from the devil's influence and he lashed out violently against anyone that tried to come between him and the monster.
The younger brother grew quiet. He began to remember all of the harsh shrieks and exasperated curses that his brother would screech out in desperation in the days leading up to the incident. No matter how much he had tried to burry his head underneath his pillow, it was never deep enough to escape the appalling calamity that eventually subsided with a piercing smack followed my a muffled whimper.
Continuing with the tale, the father went on to describe how in a fleeting moment of clarity, the older brother decided to renounce his subjection as he cast aside the spirit and its bottle. Enraged by his betrayal, the demon withdrew from the bottle and began to haunt the older brother amid every step he took. Around every corner and in the background of every landscape, the demon littered itself into every aspect of the brother's life. Not offering him a single moment of solitude, the brother's already fractured sanity began to deteriorate even further. In a last ditch effort, the older brother fled into the night, stealing his father's truck so that he could try to put as much distance between him and the demon as possible.

Sometimes the more mainstream fair of cryptozoology has been so ingrained in believer and pop culture it's hard to discern genuine curiosities from nonsense and hoaxers so perhaps a fresher look at some lesser known cryptids in more remote localities will help give us some perspective. For what we see in the lore of different regions isn't so much the promise of new or unseen curiosities, but similar patterns or biological memes that could lend credence to the hypothetical existence of said creatures or just outright dismiss them as possibly a constant of the human imagination.

Yeah, I couldn't find a good image.
The cliche is that I say that I can't write and that I've never been on /x/. Those aren't true. I do visit /x/ from time to time and I can write okay. Not great, but well enough to get through a BA in English, so here goes (also not green-texting because that sucks; I know how to, but I also know why not to):
To keep it as brief as possible, I was visiting family in a place called Beaver, Ohio. Chuckle if you are under 13 and then fuck off because this is an 18+ site.
I went to my favorite nearby nature getaway, Lake Katherine. Now Lake Katherine is many things, but it's not spooky. I like to take pictures there with my DSLR and relax in a few hidden off-trail areas.
I went to such one off-trail area last week, below the main waterfall, and there was a girl, all alone. Now this is in a county called Jackson Ohio, which, like most backwoods county has two things going against young girls: first, if you look up sex offenders on the web, the site lights up like a Roman Christmas tree. Second: while this is a fact, people around ignore this fact and let their kids run around like it's 1953 and Sheriff Griffith is making his rounds to check on all the young'ens.
I am aware of this proclivity among my people, and as a very NON pedo in a very big-man body, am both concerned with kids being safe, and afraid of spooking kids and adults if I inquire too much into the state of said kids.
So at first I said nothing when this kid, alone, is sitting in one of my favorite spots in the world, "Indian-style," where few people know they can get to off-trail, and when I've seen maybe three other people all day.
Cont.
I admire the sights and go about my business, pretending as though she doesn't exist. She's about eight or so and wearing good clothes for this time of year: a flannel and hiking boots.
As I get ready to leave, I feel the need to make sure she has some kind of awareness about her. Young girls in that area, though they are often the target of abuse, are for some reason, rarely aware of it. So I said, "You okay?" or something of the sort.
She looks up at me and says, "My foot's broke or sprained."
I asked if her parents were around and she said they had gone home. While in most parts of the world this may seem weird, again, in this part of the world, it's typical. So I asked if she needed help. I almost turned to go because in that neck of the woods, no one ever says "yes I need help" unless they are really sore off.
But she just said "please." So after a lot of looking over my shoulder, and seeing that we are alone, I had a decision to make: appear to be a creep, or leave a kid in need and actually be a deadbeat idiot. I figured I can live with myself if everyone in the world thinks I'm the worst kind or person, as long as I know in my heart I'm the good guy.
To whit: I'm 6'2", and muscular with a beer-belly. I'm not a model by any means, but I'm the kind of guy most people feel they can approach, but no one messes with. I'm not trained in anything, I am just big and look scary. Big fish, small pond most likely.
Anyway, after looking at this kid's foot and seeing that it does indeed look raw and nasty, I hoist her onto my back.
cont.
and to make a long story short, we make for the head of the trail. The trail ends, or begins, depending on how you look at it, in a clearing with a few poster-boards with your typical wildlife information on it (such as the wildlife you might see, fauna and flora, etc.) that is a mess in the summer and fall, mostly overgrown, and rife with pests. This time of year, however, it's much nicer, as the wheat/etc. has fallowed and the ticks haven't come to their own in force yet. So it's not kept, but it's nice.
So imagine my surprise when after piggybacking this kid over a quarter-mile of a pretty steep climb, after setting her down from said climb, after talking to her about SpongeBob and Pokemon, the only things I could think to relate to her with, I put her down, look toward the parking lot to see only my car, hear her say, "Thanks, Anon. I'll be sure to repay the favor," imagine my surprise when I look down to her, about to ask if she wanted me to call the police to get her to the lousy hospital in the area called "Holzer" (where medical talent goes to die a slow and overly dramatic death), that she wasn't there.
Imagine my surprise when I thought back hard, and still am, and cannot remember giving her my name. Imagine my surprise when little what's-her-name new my name and I didn't know hers. Imagine my surprise when an 8-year-old or so uses the phrase, "I'll be sure to repay the favor" when such a phrase is beyond most teachers of her grade in that area.
And she's gone. I mean, there's no where for her to have run, and on that foot, she'd not have gotten far.
cont.
So while I'm not the first to shout "ghost," I'm also not the last. I am here, after all. But I need your help.
1) What was this girl?
2) Am I in danger?
3) Did I do the right thing? (should I have left here there in a well-enough alone sort of way)?
I know the difference between the 1% of people who are versed in the arcane and can give me valuable info and the 99% of shitposters etc. on here, so thank you, 1% for any info you can provide here.
Any of you out there ever hear fucked up shit on the other end of one of these? Share your stories.
Crying baby, fuck, anon I want no part of that. 66spoopy6me.
Bump for interest tho.
>>17679759
Too spooky indeed, more spooky if you don't have a child and it's crying on the other end. Sometimes I get feedback, not gonna jump on the ghost/demon bandwagon for that. But the moment I hear a dead language in an unnatural voice maybe some growling too, then I will entertain the idea and baby can sleep in our room and i will upgrade to video monitoring.
>>17679857
But who was....... baby monitor?
When me and my buddy were 13 we went out at night to vandalize random shit like signs and flags and walls because were 13 and shit, we ended up looking through a trash can and saw a suitcase with a bag poking out of it. I opened it and inside of the bag was dark red and fleshy colors, looked like a pig that got cut to pieces. Right as we were looking at this the home owner pulled into his drive way. We immediately ran like little girls spooked out of our goddamn minds and we never told anyone about it. What are the odds that a trash bag with fleshy colors inside of a suitcase inside of a trash can was a human body? Now that I think back on it, it seems so likely. It makes it hard to sleep really. We were just way too scared by the guy pulling into the driveway to do anything but forget about the whole thing.
I guess it could depend what type of area you live in, I wouldn't be surprised though. I was hiking in the desert yesterday, and I found a bucket filled with what looked like liquefied stuff and blood. I can post the pic if you guys wanna see and help me figure out what it is
>>17679279
I wonder if you could go through missing persons cases from back then and see if anything lines up.
>>17679306
That would be a lot of work, if I had more knowledge on how to do that I might try though. I remember the neighborhood and could probably remember within 3 houses of it.
Polytheism thread? Polytheism thread.
The topic for this thread is:
What is the best proof/evidence you have for the existence of multiple deities?
>What is the best proof
"Prove [ topic ] is real" threads are troll threads made to cause pointless unending arguments and nothing more.
>>17679212
>oh look its this meme again
No trolling here. Seriously looking for best proofs/evidence. Polytheism has a bad reputation for lacking serious intellectual/philosophical rigor, at least as far as I know.
If there is a robust defense of polytheism I want to know about it.
