Desert spooks? I'll be visiting the desert in two weeks and I want to haev some cool stories to tell. Also, I do believe in some paranormal stuff like demons so I wanted to be informed and alert.

Real talk, it's because the image of the grey alien is so ingrained into alien/UFO pop culture. A lot of isolated grey sightings usually occur out in the middle of nowhere in the middle of the night or after an evening with a few shots of Jack, so the credibility of most of these claims is, of course, pretty solid. In the case of abduction stories, that's kind of up in the air, though I figure the ayys are probably pumping abductees with obscene amounts of psychotropic drugs to keep them subdued.
I have always just chalked this up to inhibited senses filling in the blanks with what the mind expects.
The first time we had something military-related was (when) I was on a trip with two (others). We were going over Angeles Crest Highway to visit the infamous Northrop facility in Lancaster. There had been sightings out there. This was our first time to go out there, near Edwards Air Force Base. We were on our way... we had a trip that should have taken 1.5 hours that took three hours. We had real, classic missing time; a bunch of physical symptoms; confused and lost. So we pulled over and thought, wait a second... When we (determined) what time it was, we thought, that’s impossible. We’d been on that road before.
During the next few days, I started to recall, consciously, an experience. And it was all ETs and an alien ship. The whole thing was with aliens. The three of us were together (etc.). Then I went to have regressions with Deborah Truncale, after I recalled it consciously. Apparently, I recalled seeing a guy in uniform standing in the back, on the ship, while ETs were doing something with us. There was a guy watching the whole procedure. I said this in regression. And managed to not only say this and discuss it with Deborah, but I had conveniently forgotten about this. And it was because of the recent experiences in July and November 1993, which jogged my memory to recall this one in 1991. One of my friends had said, don’t you recall we saw a guy in uniform before — you talked about it, don’t you remember? (The hypnotherapist confirmed this.) But I had conveniently put it out of my mind.
2 years ago we had a quick look at a site; however, we weren't able to come up with much...
Nevertheless, today I'm planning on leading an expedition, lead by a coalition between /x/,/b/,/g/, and 8ch-/b/ & /tech/ .

Yeah, the visuals story telling is pretty outstanding there, can be both subtle and very in your face about it in a good way.
It's not exactly very scary, but Sunless Sea is weird and bizarre, creates a very interesting supernatural freaky world to get lost and die in.
So my steam friend just sent me this story and asked me to translate into greentext and post it on /x/ so he could get help, so here goes:

So while watching some youtubes, I came across a piece of info on psychology testing from way back in the 90's when it was basically still legal to do a lot of weird testing on people.
One of the scientists used to put goggles, headphones, and arm sleeves on people then put them in little rooms. It was to test the affects of taking away someone's senses, and though the experiment was supposed to last 42 days, it often only lasted 4 because patients would be begin to have visual and auditory hallucinations from lack of sensory input.
Ok, now, here's an interesting little connection I just made based on my fiances own trouble with sleep paralysis.
He has described it to me before as "being like sleep paralyzed, but still asleep and being conscious. Sometimes I'll see a shadow in the corner of the room like a 'grey man', and other times I feel like I can almost hear someone whispering, sometimes escalating to shouting". He was born with a lot of health issues, from a bad heart and clubfoot, to a kind of nerve damage. His skin has a hard time feeling things unless it's extreme, like very hot, cold, pain, or upwards of tickling. Now, here's what I think may be an interesting connection that I never thought of before till now.
He sleeps with a loud fan on at night to block out background noise, because any little noises has always caused him to become wide awake almost immediately, ever since he was very young.
What I'm wondering is, could the combination of the nerve damage and drowning sort of white noise from the fan be triggering sleep paralysis and hallucinations given the right set of circumstances? Since he has had a sort of 'regular' sleep paralysis throughout the years since he was a teen, I wonder if this could be making hallucinations worse.
What are your thoughts on this /x/? And do you have similar experiences with sleep? Come share them.
Also, people who practice lucid dreaming have frequent run ins with SP. On reddit there are some good subs for SP and lucid dreaming. People there can likely answer any questions you have.
So a few days ago I think i experienced my first sleep paralysis, although I am not 100% certain, so someone please confirm.

So, /x/, I have had some very weird things happening to me lately. I honestly don't know where to begin. But, I think it would help to share the story and maybe take some of your advice. So, here goes...
I've been acquainted with a group of people for a number of years that have been growing Medical Marijuana here in Michigan. They have, together, started a number of grows in a fairly large number of houses. This in and of itself is not that weird, however they also manage to produce a good amount of hash in another California and manage to get it back to Michigan to sell. This makes them a lot of money.
I went out to California with them recently and helped with some work as I was out of a job and decided it would be a nice paid vacation. This is when things started to become a little weird.
I had ran into a friend at a bar one night that was leaving a few days later to meet these people in California. I opted to go with so he'd have a companion, and as I've said I wanted a paid vacation. The journey there was nothing remarkable. We mostly drove straight through, stopped and looked around once in a while. Once we arrived, I was very excited to see some people I have not seen in a while. One of my longest known friends was there and it was good to catch up. I thought that this was going to be great. We were so tucked away on this mountainside it would take us a half hour just to get to any sort of "road". Even then, it was another half hour to one of the smallest towns I have ever been in. The first few days were great. Their set up was very impressive. I had a tent and a hammock tucked away in a little pine alcove. The weather was beautiful.
We would wake up at around 10 every morning and get to work. There were large garbage bags filled with trim we would push into tubes. There were large tanks of Butane we would use to fill the tubes and extract the THC to produce the hash. We would work until we felt like we wanted to quit. Most days this would mean 8-10 tube runs. Packing and unpacking, filling and unfilling, pouring hash into slabs and purging them in vac-ovens. Every so often we would gas the generators, sometimes waking up in the middle of the night to ensure the ovens always had power.
Things seemed kind of normal, but I always felt slightly uneasy. I felt as though I were being tested (and would later confirm this was the case).
