What exactly is scary about storks in a bathroom?
So we can all agree that the Despair Code is a hoax. But who started it and why? Is it to discredit actual conspiracy theories by association? Is it to distract us from investigating more serious theories?
Thoughts?
>>17693225
It was probably some random jack-off's fun idea to just watch people waste time. People get enjoyment out of that.
>>17693230
If so, the troll was playing the long game. I first saw references to the Despair Code back in 2011. The effort involved in fabricating the hoax makes me think it was done by a government agency. The question is why.
it's meant to shake the confidence of new to the fold. essentially the moral of the conspiracy is that if you're a curious person and are smart and you seek some sort of answer you're eventually punished by some esoteric knowledge and the inevitability that everything is terrible.
everything is not terrible. a great life is right there for you on a small scale. dont let the lizard marketing make you feel like shit.

Was there ever any depiction of the Grim Reaper wearing red instead of black? My uncle told me that when I was little and playing Castlevania Bloodlines made me remember and got me curious.

I remind electronics that humans run the world all the time. Phone wants to give me attitude? I shut it off. Console wants to freeze? I reset that shit. They know who the boss is here, believe me
Let's talk about Antarctica.
What interesting mysteries are there about the place? What secrets do you think might be there?

Hopefully cool things like pyramids, and remnants of a past great civilization. Anatomically modern humans have been present for some 200,000 years; who knows what kinds of cool things are buried which we do not know about.

Pic related is a dilapidated body shop right around the corner from a local naval support facility. The place is mostly open air now because the roof caved in sometime back, haven't had the chance to go inside yet.
This was at one point an insurance agency. Ever since a much bigger and structurally sound building went up 2 miles away they closed this down and nobody in the area has shown interest in buying it to this day. I'd try going in there but there is way too much activity happening around there during the day and night.
Also I have a question for more experienced urbexers; how do you normally go about searching for and exploring abandoned places like these without getting into any legal disputes/confrontations? Do secluded areas work better? Maybe going at night while using long exposure mode/flash on a camera in order to get photos?
I've done a lot of exploring, mostly at KPPC. You can see some of the videos below:

Post spooks you've had while exploring the wilderness
Have told this before here
>camping in New Mexico outside of Los Alamos laboratories where the atomic bomb was developed
>campsite all set up around dusk so friend and I eat mushrooms
>Hours into trip and starting to come down
>decide to walk around in the woods
>friend and I split up so I find a big rock to lay on and stargaze
>Pretty quiet besides insects and a few owls and I can hear my friend trailblazing hundreds of yards away
>loud mechanical sound happens very far in the distance for about 5 seconds
>it's like a clacking and woosh of air pressure releasing
>moments later, slowly out of the silence a humming sound saunters on the edge of audible perception
>gets louder and deeper (bass wise) until it is filling the entire forest
>call out to friend but no response
>start running back to camp as sound becomes so loud it feels like it is rattling my internal organs
>right before I get to camp the sound begins to recede and same as it arrived, it fades back into the silence
>at camp, friend was sleeping in his tent
>I then wonder "who tf was that I heard walking while I laid on the rock?"
>no sounds, not even birds or insects as I fall asleep
>ask friend if he heard anything last night and says no
>driving a mile or two on trail back to road
>when we get to the street a black suburban is sitting there with two guys in suits
>the halt us and ask our business out there to which we reply "just needed a place to camp for the night"
>they take our plate # and send us on our way

Has anyone else had this vivid/lucid dream? I remember maybe 3-6 years ago it was common place to hear about the tower here and other paranormal boards, but I can't find anything in Google whole searching.
Anyway, the dream
You never know why it happens, even if you've never been good at remembering dreams, you'll remember this one.
A massive tower stretches so high into the dark sky, you can't see how high it goes. Surrounding the tower is an ever expansive wasteland.
On the ground floor you can meet other Tennants, all of which seem to be random and never the same, but it is possible to bump into a familiar face. There are two other people you may or may not see here, the host and the dark figure. The dark figure is usually absent, and if you see him, stay away or ignore him. He has bigger problems to worry about anyway. The host is an old man dressed in a three piece suit and is often agreed upon as neutral, not good or evil. The ground floor looks like a semi modern hotel, maybe a little older than it should be, but not unusually old. Going up the elevator will reveal increasingly older styles. with each floor the damage to the structure is also greater. It is generally assumed the lower floors are safer and the upper floors are for daring individuals who may suffer from the dark figures interactions on higher floors, but no one really travels too far up. If they have, they never said.
I made it to floor 12 once. There was dust covering everything, the early model looking light fixtures were damaged under a leaking roof or because of sections of the walls were busted out. There were even fires. all was contained on that floor having no effects on the floors below.
I met one of my irl friends there, no lie. As I left the elevator, he swung open a set of double doors coughing his lungs out, calling for help. I drug him back in and we headed for the lobby. He was fine when we got back, but warned me from going up past floor 10. He confirmed this dream too.
I'm posting all this because I can't forget it. It's one of my 3 most memorable dreams and the only one I had pre-lucid dreaming days.
When I bring up weird dreams I often try to see if anyone shared this, I've met maybe 4 people irl who have and at least a few handful on here or rival paranormal boards.
Last time we all spoke some of the more advanced lucid dreamers, OBE, Astral projection, etc people said they would go looking for tower in their own time. No one reported back with success, many just never repored back at all. I also remember people digging up crazy old stories about this, but they could have been fabricated for all I know
What I do know us that I still have flashbacks to this day of the tower, and it was almost a bit of dumb luck in happened upon a thred about it years after the dream.
Curious if anyone else has seen the ancient timeless tower that has plagued human dreams for ages.
I remember the threads about this. It was one of the first astral projection meetups /x/ had before shit like the 419 and veelox. The old man you're referring to was called The Warden, and there was also an aggressive presence called The Mask on the higher floors, but I don't remember what it's deal was, only that it caused some sort of shitstorm eventually, "killing" people which caused them to wake up. Those were the days. It was so exciting reading about shit like this.. I tried looking for it too, but no current archives go back that far.
>>17698273
The warden may indeed be right, same with the mask. It's been years, then again I don't think they introduced themselves and the names were arbitrary

Let's talk about dark / evil cults.
For example:
Order of Nine Angles
>The Order of Nine Angles (ONA; O9A) is a Satanic and Left-Hand Path occult group
>It advocates a spiritual path in which the practitioner is required to break societal taboos by isolating themselves from society, committing crimes, embracing political extremism and violence, and carrying out an act of human sacrifice.
> ONA members practice magick, believing that they are able to do so through channeling energies into our own "causal" realm from an "acausal" realm where the laws of physics do not apply, with such magical actions designed to aid in the ultimate establishment of the Imperium.

Another example:
Temple of the Black Light
(while many believe that they are simple black metal fans, they try to keep distance from these kind of people; real practitioners are not edgy teenagers)
>they believe in Kaosgnosticism
>Kaosgnosticism, kaosgnostisk Satanism, kaosofi, anti cosmic Satanism or 218-flow, called a variant of Satanism designing this to a Gnostic doctrine
>Chaos-Gnosticism is a spiritual orientation that is based on a dualistic belief system.
>What makes this satanism Gnostic is by seeking knowledge in chaos. This can be done in various rituals or meditation
>According kaosgnosticism man should revert back to the out-of-chaos that gave birth to the universe. In the chaos-gnostic satanism often used kelippot as a tool to explore and seek knowledge in chaos.
>They basically think that the cosmos must be destroyed

>>17670055
>More info on these two:
Order of Nine Angles (ONA/O9A):
Founded by David Myatt, a former high-ranking member of Nazi gang Combat 18 and founder of the National Socialist Movement. He also later pretended to be a Muslim extremist as part of an ONA "insight role" and entered the global "War on Terror" after some of his writings defending suicide bombing were featured on Hamas' web site. He also inspired a nail-bomber who killed three people and wounded dozens of others.
The ONA encourages terrorism, human sacrifice, internet trolling, gang activity, organized crime, incest, ritual orgies, murder, antisemitism, the veneration of Adolf Hitler, and basically all manner of mayhem in its war against "mundanes".

>>17670065
cont.
Anti-Cosmic Satanism (Current 218):
Came to public attention when one of the founders of the movement, Jon Nodveit (lead singer of popular metal band Dissection), shot himself in the head while sitting in front of a copy of Liber Azerate, a Current 218 grimoire, shortly after getting out of prison and releasing the album Reinkaos, which elaborates the cult's beliefs.
Current 218 calls for the destruction of the cosmos and the omnicide of the human race, and supports evil for the sake of evil. As usual, it supports crime, terrorism, Adolf Hitler (but not Nazism, which in their opinion isn't hateful enough), senseless violence, gang activity, human and animal sacrifice, and just all kinds of interesting stuff.
Although it was inspired by ONA, it takes things a step further in that it doesn't perform evil acts in the furtherance of a set of political beliefs, but rather evil for its own sake, and hopes to eventually destroy humanity through the use of a nuclear bomb.
Perhaps most disturbing of all, it's becoming extremely popular. Dozens of 218-inspired bands have popped up over the last few years, and the metal band Watain, successor of Dissection and staunch supporter of Current 218's evil philosophy...
...regularly sells out at venues around the world...
...and has been nominated twice in a row for Swedish grammy awards, winning once (the results aren't yet back for the second nomination).

Isn't attraction to other humans a thing that is normal?

for a few reasons, one it objectifies the person making them less valuable over all. another reason is that civilized men are supposed to be in control of their baser urges and have a measure of self control.
