I agree that it lacked impact compared to the P5 but that is because they were not going for the same thing.

It was their biggest mistake considering they cashed in thousands of moneys in this event and the game overall, it has to blow everyone's minds with each new showcase (like P5 does) instead of leaving a bad aftertaste like both Duscae and PD were

From my perspective:
It is a space themed colonization type game in which you can make your own people and decide what their boons and flaws. You explore galaxies and meet with other species and interact either peacefully or with extreme prejudice. The objective of the game is to stand the test of time and survive an end game catastrophe.
Sounds fun. But I never really played a game like this.

TF2 is at it's core, an FPS game. The original Concept for TF in general was Quake with classes.
Overwatch is more or less like a MOBA boiled down to it's core (huge variety of heros with unique abilities in a theme setting) and then polished to be more like games like Smite.
But if you were to compare the two, TF2 would surely win, simply because it's a source game, meaning it's fully moddable and has a huge community that creates free content for it 24/7 (maps, reskins, Source Filmmaker Short Films, etc)
this is just a personal preference for me, but unless Overwatch offers this much as well, TF2 will always be better
