Even though he controls like everyone else, he's a squishy character who should never be sitting still, so playing him correctly should feel like you're blading around. As for wallrides, you can ride pretty much any surface, making you a real pain in the ass to hit. Combined with constant healing, a good Lucio can last for a long, long time. With a little practice, you can wallride into places that you wouldn't ever imagine he could make it to.

You can also be effective skirting the edges of your group and picking off weak characters, his gun is surprisingly strong and depending on the map, you can push people into pits with altfire for easy kills. That also comes into play on maps with pits as you can shut down a Reinhardt push assuming you have environmental hazards nearby. Just don't stray too far from your team because not a lot of teams will double up healers.

He's got good mobility with his leap and he's still relatively beefy so his dinky little gun can easily keep him close to kill the squishier characters with the only one able to outrun him being Tracer, as well as avoid some defenses like Rein's shield or Genji's deflect and quickly do away with Symmetra's turrets.
While his bubble isn't quite as strong as Reinhardt's shield, it can really fuck with enemies if you drop it right on top of them since their shots will be blocked on either side while your team can still shoot through it.
When he chimps out, he's almost impossible to kill (both with the health and mobility boosts) unless the whole enemy team focuses on him. He can harass the hell out of the team and his leap skill cooldowns super quick so he can fly all over the place and displace the enemy.
Other tanks would have to fight the enemy on an objective, Winston can just throw them all over the place away from it. Besides someone like Junkrat blowing out a camping nest, Winston can be pretty good at dropping in on Bastion, Widow, Torb's turret and the like.

Genji simply wins games by himself when played at a level of maximum competency. Pharah as well although she has issues dealing with McREE and Oldboy 76 that Genji will never have. Reaper on defense is another Good player = instantaneously won game. He's dogshit on assault but when the enemy has to come to you it's basically impossible for them to ever make it to an objective without one or two people dead and going to the objective ends up being a horrendous waiting game for Reaper to die or at least confirm his location so you don't get ulted on.

I miss the visuals of TF2. Overwatch is prettier and looks better, but it can be kind of a pain on the eyes. The way TF2 used the red/blue colors of the characters and neutral browns and greys for the environment was much easier to look at.
