This game is fun as fuck and a day 1 buy for me, but it's going to flop HARD. It's just way too obtuse for how complex it is compared to the Souls series.
Not only is it too complex for its obtuseness, the things it does convey to the player in the first 30 minutes are all completely wrong. A new player running around without understanding ki pulse and without understanding stances and without understanding the armor/loot system is going to run out, run out of stamina and stand there catching their breath, and get one-shot by the weakest enemy in the game. From this they are going to assume:
1-All enemies hit this hard and you'll be getting OHKO'd all game
2-Using stamina gets you killed and you have to be incredibly slow in order to not die

Is this the best cinematic trailer of all time? Blizzard has done some nice stuff but the atmosphere in this trailer was fucking amazing.

It's pretty good though reveals nothing about gameplay but then again reveal trailers rarely do. The few screenshots isn't much to discuss either.

I´m still confused about the female voice over.
first I kinda expected Slaanesh to show up.
and when the eldar banshee was shown I expected her to play a bigger part in the cinematic.
who is the women supposed to be?
it would have made sense if the voice over had belonged to the space marine or if the voice over had consists out of several voices but as it stands it really confused me
the whole emperor statue and ork avalanche scene also confused me. did that really happen or is it supposed to be taken symbolically
overall great cinematic with some amazing scenes but also kinda confusing.
So, how do the different giants relate to each other?
Gwyn's race were apparently some sort of giant, apparently different to Gough's giants, which might be different to the vagina face giants. Then there's Yhorm and his lot. Are they all distinct? Are they all the same?

After thinking about it for a good amount of time i think i have finally been able to put into words my problem with Overwatch's design:
The game is painfully inoffensive. The cast of characters is composed of all kinds of races and nationalities, and the maps send you all across the globe. It all feels very carefully designed to cater to, well, everyone.
You'll never see any character banter in Overwatch. Characters talking to each other only happen if they are allies, and it's very generic joke-y stuff for the most part. There's no comments on enemies you just killed. There's no trash talk between characters. There isn't a single hint of black humour in this game, and it really makes it feel so painfully sterile and boring.
Overwatch isn't a game designed for children - It's a game designed to pander to EVERYONE. To the "safe space" demanding youth who think integration and representation is literally all that matters. It's an extremely cynical game hand-crafted to offend no one and try to sell as much as it can as a result.

I enjoy the gameplay and the class design, but you're right, the philosophy of the game, if you want to call it that, is far too 'safe'.
