nice try Sega-drone. I was a Nintenkid up until mid-00s, and actually had the MS2 in early 90s.
Besides Sonic 2 and tons of multiplats, SEGA has not made anything worth mentioning in decades.
The first game is just amazing, an extremely well done platformer, no guns, no bullshit, just 3 or 4 cool races/vehicle sections, some shooting with that gren echo shit and that is it. 9/10 game, I wish I had discovered it in 2001 not now.
Jak 2, a shitty GTA 3 wannabe, muh weapons, muh open world, muh vehicles, muh dark story... disgusting. Could never play for more than 2 hours.
Jak 3, more of the same, now it's a Mad Max wannabe, not sure if I want to keep playing this shit. Till now it's much better than the abomination Jak 2 is but still is a million lightyears away from J&D.
They wanted to mature the series and the GTA audience
There was some divide over how it was going but both parties agreed the decision to give Jak a voice was a good one
