Dude this movie was so fucking good. Late-era Stallone is really enjoyable; the boxing was technically better, and idk the whole thing felt really true to life in a lot of ways.... Like shadowboxing in the dark alongside yr favorite fights, listening to those exact rap songs while training. Such a great movie man.

John Ruth was the most sympathetic and tragic character in this movie. I felt really bad for him whenthe true nature of the Lincoln Letter is revealed and he admits that his feelings are hurt.

Literally no one asked this... ever
but if hero doesn't go through hardships at the beginning (even when she was scavenger she was doing fairly good for herself beating up everyone and so on), there's no payoff at the end (and this was the 1st on in the series) if she's good at things from the very begging it's not fun to see her finally succeed at the end
