The problem is Adam driver is 6'3" the same height as Trashtrooper. That means he has 8 inches of height advantage on Rey.
We see Vaders large presence in the OT and that's not addressed at all here in the battle Rey doesn't seem to have an disadvantage with Kylos long saber and that should be a theat for the style fighter Vader was and Kylo should be.

The saber battles in TFA were, like the OT before them, conflicts of will, ideals, and conviction. They were not meant to be interpreted as pure melee combat where the outcome is determined solely by physical advantage and move repertoire.
Imagine what it would be like to have mind control like Killgrave.
Anything you could ever want would be at your fingertips.
Money, women, fame, power, anything. There would be literally nothing stopping you.
You could do anything and there would never be consequences.
Just imagine how much this would warp you. The power would corrupt you to no end.
We judge Killgrave as evil, but is he really much different than what most people would be like with mind control?
If anything, he's much better. He never became a world leader or caused harm on a large scale.
I think that's what makes Killgrave a truly terrifying villain is that most of us probably wouldn't be any better.
