OK then how come nothing like that happened when Sheev executed Order 66 killing hundreds if not thousands of Jedi, fully attuned practitioners of the Force, and obliterating their temple? heres my problem with Rey, because of the way she is written every other character becomes irrelevant, in the OT luke has Leia and Han to lean on, because he needs it at times, this makes him a character able to grow and become great. Anakin has Obi-Wan to lean on and learn from, this makes it so he is not, despite everyone telling him he's the fucking chosen one, able to win all the damn time. Rey has Han solo a veteran fighter pilot, Chewie a veteran savage and Finn a trained soldier to lean on and get supported by. But she doesn't need anyone, ever. so Finn is made pointless Han becomes funny man reference guy and chewie becomes slapstick bear. every character serves only to further hammer in the fact that Rey is the greatest ever at everything and she dont need no one. Finn the character who should become her most trusted friend and capable ally is immediately bumped down to comic relief. Rey has no growth other than watch this character go from powerful and completely independent to over the top savior of the galaxy doing everything by herself. she is literally just like a my japanese anime main character and the movie and the sequels will suffer for it unless its changed

Just because Rey doesn't need to rely on Finn, it doesn't make Finn irrelevant.
In fact, Finn is really the one driving the story. Finn's defection from the First Order is what puts everything into motion. Finn is also the one keeping Rey on track. If it weren't for Finn, Rey wouldn't be doing anything except for trying to find a way back to Jakku.

Lucasfilm employee. Won't reveal what I do, but I can say it's not related to scripts, so I don't know much of their plans, but I'll share what I know about the logistics of their upcoming movies.
>The Force Awakens is a table-sitting movie. They retreaded elements from the old movies to introduce the new characters, reintroduce the old ones to new audiences, and build enough good will so they can can go off the handles in the sequels, since a lot of stuff they're planning changes the lore pretty drastically.
>The movies will be divided in phases, kinda' like the MCU, all centered on a trilogy. Episode IX will be the end of the "Phase I", so to speak, and they'll then begin a new trilogy with Episode X that'll focus on new protagonists.
>The idea is that all directors collaborate with the scripts as well.
>Rogue One is coming along nicely. It's a grittier movie than the average Star Wars. No Jedis, droids, aliens or monsters. It is pretty standalone, but there is a big connection to TFA. James Earl Jones will record some new lines for Darth Vader. They'll also use CGI for a few new scenes with Tarkin and digitally de-aging Carrie Fisher for new scenes with young, ANH-age Princess Leia.

Zack Snyder and Matthew Vaughn had talks to do Fett. Snyder is buddies with J.J., but his schedule might be fucked up by the superhero movies he's doing. Vaughn was approached for TFA, but preferred projects in which he has more creative control, which Fett would provide.
