Why do people hate the prequels again? Besides the abomination that is Jar-Jar, most of the things I've seen being criticized are things the original trilogy was already guilty off, like dragging out with unnecessary subplot sequences and putting in elements that sell merch rather than help build a story, did we suddenly forget about ewoks existing in the first place?
I don't get it. Is there anything i'm missing?

Here's a thought I had when I rewatched the movie, dunno if it's been touched upon already :
If Snoke is indeed Plagueis, what if he actually isn't a hologram like the movie makes us believe he is, but a force ghost ?
Think about it, Plagueis is meant to be the first force user to have achieved the means to 'cheat death' which in universe is shown to be reaching force ghost status upon death, just like Obiwan and Yoda did later on.
What if Plagueis has indeed been dead for decades, killed by his apprentice Sidious, and he's now pulling the strings from the death realm, as a force ghost ?
Wouldn't be the first time the movie uses mirrors from the OT (in this case, Vader talking to Sidious' hologram) for it turning out to be something else entirely.
What if the next movie reveals Snoke has been a force ghost all along once Kylo goes to meet him to complete his training ?
