Why do normies love to spend money on things they can easily get for free?
10 bucks a month isn't much to someone with a job. Netflix has put out some decent content recently and I can see why normal people would be willing to pay rather than mess around with torrents.
'Easily' is relative, to stupid people, or those with enough income,
the monthly fee provides enough convenience to outweigh
any hassles associated with getting things for free
because normies don't usually open up their computer to get a bigger HDD to store videos.

What were normies supposed to think when they saw this scene? They didn't follow the production closely before release like we did. They didn't know that the plot was initially about Kylo obsessively going after Luke's lightsaber. I feel like JJ forgot to alter this scene. The audience must have thought "Why does he care about that lightsaber, he already has one. I thought he was just after the map to Skywalker?"
