Reducing Fury Road to "corporate product" is unfair. It showed just how bad every blockbuster really is, it's craftmanship was excellent. Plus it's a Hollywood blockbuster, you can't make anything other than something supposed to sell. I also find the the criticism rich coming from the guy who made the Rollerball remake.
