DC's whole thing is about a multiverse and they've said they wanted to keep movies and tv shows separate.
I mean look at Marvel's stuff, they say the netflix abc stuff is connected but it only goes one way, nothing in Agents of Shield like the Inhumans is ever brought up in the movies, but the fallout of Avengers 1 and Winter soldier do affect Daredevil and AoS.
Because theres something in these children's shows and comics called "parallel dimensions". Its basically lazy writing for inconsistent story telling.
Honestly, while the plot was retarded, it was still way more entertaining than 3 and 4.

Genisys hardly had any action in the second half. I loved the first half but it kind of went self destruct.
I have no idea why people hate 4. it was an up front gritty war movie.

It was honestly a pretty solid story. It just REALLY lacked any acting talent except for Arnie, who was really good. There was also just not enough attention to detail. Not enough effort. Nothing close to the level someone like James Cameron demands. But it was fun and I'll watch a sequel happilly.
