Way to go PissPants

Does anyone else think Mk 3 is trying to make heavy beasts obsolete?

Lowering thresholds, getting rid of fury management.

Light beasts you can let frenzy and it's not a big deal. With gargs, you've likely just got one of them and so not a big deal taking the fury off. But if you get a bunch of heavies instead of a garg, you can't put fury on all of them because you lost the ability to manage it effectively, they frenzy easier, and you can't afford to shut down a heavy with frenzy like you can with a light.

On the other side of the spectrum, warjacks are more efficient now without risk.

They still have choir for damage buffs, and got an across the board +1 mat (and a few got +2 mat) to compensate for choir not having the +hit.

What's the easiest to learn mecha game out there? I'd like one that focuses more on the mecha systems and combat, but if it's got combat skills for the pilots when out of the cockpit, that's good too.

We come from the planet know as Serik-Lambda, it's a place where the poles are as cold as Fenris and the equator is like Catachan. It is a place where two very different cultures, have to live together to survive. But most importantly it is the home world of the artillery regiment known as the Serikkan Arbalists.

1st Edition A D&D, and I guess because it's what I grew up and cut my teeth on. I use OSRIC books nowadays, but I still have all my dad's old 1E books on the shelf. I have been trying out more B/X and BECMI stuff because of player interest lately though.

>OD&D (LBBs only)
Playing with any printing of the very first game is fantastic. When you go through the books and decipher them, and realise how crazy but actually insightful everything is put up, you cannot help but fall madly in love.

>OD&D (w/supplements)
Greyhawk is super weird. Seriously, it is. The mechanics make it some kind of AD&D lite, but in digest-size. I have to try it someday. Except for the Gods supplement which is kinda meh, it's all very good readings even if you're not into OD&D.

>Holmes' Basic
A mix between OD&D, B/X and Holmes' home campaign. One thing that I love about it is how MUs in it get all the first level spells in their magic books (not spellbooks), and then must either invent new spells, research existing ones or find/steal others. Also Scrolls are cheap so you'll see wizards carrying a shitton of paper around, which is very Vancian.

>Moldvay's Basic
It's awesome but I'm not a fan of MUs with one spell. Casting one in a day is cool, but having only one option to deal with shit kinda sucks when you're a MU.

>Mentzer's Basic to Immortal
I have to admit I'm not a fan of this one. Far less gonzo than Moldvay which is already starting to tone down the crazy setting, big rules with big words and 36th levels play. Meh.

>Cook/Marsh's Expert set
It's ok I guess. I don't know enough about it to have a fair opinion.

>Rules Cyclopedia
Strangely, while I don't like Mentzer's BECMI, I find a lot of pleasure in reading RC. Too huge a book for my tastes of today, but I would have loved it back when I played AD&D.

>AD&D
It's like the rambling insane rant of the old master, and it's pretty, pretty, pretty cool to read. I say plunder it shamelessly and leave out the parts that don't make sense to you. It's playable tho, despite what a lot of people say.

>AD&D2
My first game was of AD&D 2. Back then I didn't actually read the rules and we just winged everything but it felt like D&D to us since there was no other exemple. Cont.

How do you feel about characters in fantasy games using magic to enhance their appearance? It's one of the basic staples of the Witcher games, and it makes a lot of sense to me.

I imagine the trained eye could spot a magic nose job, maybe with a spellcraft check or something, just like you can sometimes tell if somebody's had work done IRL. Like cheaper or outdated magic tits being obviously too round or firm to be real, that sort of thing.

Provided the capability is there, the nobility absolutely would be into this. Hell, we do the same thing in our day with plastic surgery, botox and, if you want to stretch the analogy far enough, even basic makeup made from synthetic lab-designed formulas.

Now, that does of course require the groundwork to be in place first. Some settings, on the other hand, don't quite have the capability of direct magical alteration, but even then argument could be made for, say, skilled facial surgical reconstruction with the aid of magical healing and disease control.

Long and short, looking less than artificially perfect is either a choice, or the consequence of not being wealthy enough. In the former case, well, more power to you.
>>
>Why Mialee didn't do it I'll never know.

That IS her altered appearance. "Mialee" was originally 10/10 human chick named Mia who could never get taken serious as a wizard, so she used magic to turn herself into a homely, horse-faced elf permanently. Now she has to be judged by her magical ability only, not how big her titties are.

Welcome back, to a slightly late Part 2 of Chapter 8 of Mecha Space Pirate Quest. As always, you are Roarke S. Starwind, recently pushed by circumstance into adopting the title of Pirate Admiral and commander of the Iron Kestrels pirate fleet.

Last time, you bonded with your subordinate Captain Oda Yoritomo over coffee at his maid cafe and scored a critical hit on the impure heart of a pretty UJCIDF Lieutenant that narrowly averted a fistfight in the streets of Colony 2.

There's only one thing left on your agenda right now, and that's a date between a girl named Sam and a boy named Sue. You've been through multiple battles since you asked her to dinner, committed a grand heist, and went from being a Captain to an Admiral.

The restaurant you chose is a small, but pricey one. Booth-style seating around the tables at the edge of the room, real candles providing most of the light, dim light sources shaped like old-fashioned lightbulbs surrounded by wide crystalline shells on the ceiling. There's a raised dais over near the bar, where a man is playing an old-fashioned piano rather well. All in all, it's quite comfy, and much to your relief the menu contains steak. Noise dampeners discretely placed here and there keep the conversation of the other patrons to a dull murmur, almost as quiet as the clinking of their silverware as they eat what smells like an array of appetizing foodstuffs and drink good wine.

All it really needs is a cute little UJCIDF Corporal.

Time to get to work.
>>
>>46845191
Let it begin! Time for best "girl" date!
>>
You're not one of those people who enjoys waiting. Fortunately, you're shown right to your table, but sitting alone doesn't do much good for anyone. You'd feel like a fool playing on your PC while waiting for your date to arrive, watching other people when you have your aviators on strikes you as a little creepy, and there are only so many times you can go over their online menu when what you're really hungry for is a big, juicy steak. Even a burger would taste like heaven after all of the space-compatible food you've eaten recently.

One of the waiters, an older man with a set of grey moustaches that remind you rather of an affable lobster leans down to speak to you in that hushed tone high-class waiters always seem to use, "Sir, I believe your guest has arrived. Lucky you."

Samantha Blanchett is even more charming in person than she is over the videocomm of the Knuckle Kaiser. Short, not much above five feet, with a petite build. Her chest, though small, is exquisitely framed by the lacy cups of her midnight-blue gown, the wide skirt with its equally lacy hem failing to hide her generous hips and barely exposing the tips of shiny black shoes. She wears a bonnet that was centuries out of date even back when your favorite music was first being performed, and a small, lacy sort of collar around her neck tied with a blue ribbon. Momentarily, you worry that she won't recognize you since she hasn't seen your face, but even before the waiter guides her in your direction her large, pale eyes are locked on yours. With a dainty lift of her skirt, she slides into the booth across from you, and picks up the menu, "Roarke Starwind, I presume?" Her voice is soft, and despite her black lipstick her smile is even softer. Despite the fact that she's obviously dressed up and primped for this, she seems just a little shy, moreso than you expected from such a cute girl. Perhaps her work keeps her from going out on many dates.

In the background, Maeda gasps sharply as Kaori tells her something which Kaori wanted to remain private from the rest of her family.

Even then, this does not stop the rest of her family from gossiping about her. My head slowly turns to Julie and Haruko, both of them with stupid grins on their faces.

"It's a boy."
"It's Ryouta!"

I'm going to have a terrible time covering up the rumors my sisters are making.

I am Itsukuma Masami.
My life is pretty peaceful right now!
At least, it is for the moment. The worry and fears about monsters and magic are now replaced with the worries of everyday life. Such as the possibility that my sister may have a boyfriend.

No! What am I saying? If Kaori had a boyfriend; I'm the first one she would tell!

This doesn't look good; I know. I'm sure there's a rational explanation for it!
I just got to make sure these two here don't craft wild stories.

Speaking of which, their stories are getting wilder and craftier.

"Maybe-" Julie whispers in her twin's ear well above her whisper voice. "Maybe Kaori is already with a boy, and she's been keeping it a secret."
"Ooh! And she's been seeing him late at night; When Masami is snoring!"

"I don't snore!"
"The world would end and she wouldn't notice!"

Wait, who is teasing who here?!

"Stop it you two, Kaori is not seeing a boy. You're making mean things up about her behind her back just because she wants to have a secret."

They blink at me.
"Why would she want to hide a secret from us?"

"She just might, okay? It's not your job to know all of her secrets."

Behind me, again, Maeda happily grabs Kaori's hands and giggles.
There's that dumb grin from these two again.

"Masami, why are you so against Kaori having a boyfriend?"
"Yeah! We should be encouraging her!"

>"It's just not right, okay?!"
>"Because we don't know that!"

Golden Edition Edition

Last time: https://sys.4chan.org/tg/post

Previously, The Slime King's child Hydaara took power, and settled a city outside of the subterrain. Unfortunately, she was forced to destroy an elf city after they tried to subjugate her people. Then, she made a donation to the College of Residology, and now, many years later, the world shall change once more.

40 years later, the slime empire has grown greatly. It has turned its focus towards Science, allowing both whole cities to be filled with biopunk technology. The world around you has also changed, as explorations to the east shows the Empire of Men, a powerful nation of Humans, Elves, Dwarves, Gnomes, and Halflings. To the east desert, another racial Alliance has formed, between Orcs, Goblins, Giants, Cyclops's, and Lizardfolk. Your empire has only two races, though slimes greatly outnumber elves.

Luckily, there are two options for you. In the west is an independent group of Minotaurs, though the east desert has a large city of Skaven, which may tolerate, even welcome your kind. Then again, you could just create Homunculi.

Welcome to Sin Princess Quest!

A story of magical girls, monster waifus, and medieval warlords!

https://twitter.com/QuesterBlester

http://pastebin.com/MVQpS9bh

You are Avaritia, Princess of Envy, Inheritor of Castle Golgoth and Lady of the Wyld!

Or at least, that was what you were supposed to be...
You'd gone out into the enchanted dark forest that surrounded your isolated castle, looking to establish yourself as the strongest and the rightful ruler in a bid to bring monsters back to the Castle to either harvest for parts to improve your own body or to bolster your anemic forces.

INSTEAD what happened was you ran into a gigantic Old Wolf and got your tail kicked, losing the harpy you'd defeated and suffering no small amount.

Since that time you've been here in your barren bedroom, recuperating under the care of your Mandrake servants led by your scarecrow caretaker, Strix, most of which has been spent...

You quickly shovel in your food as you review the potential tanks that Camp Gagetown may bring in today’s match. As the weather report indicated, things were overcast as you all rode in the trucks taking you to the match site. You could even feel some slight rain dripping down as you ate your apple slices carved up by Josephina.

Josephina at least seems to be in good spirits. It must be because last night she very much went all out about her love for helicopters.

> + 5 MORALE TO JOSEPHINA

Everyone else was barely awake. You check the time. In this timezone, it’s around 9 AM. But even with the comfortable interior of the Airbus that took you here, jetlag was already having its effect. Thankfully, there were a few hours to gather yourself before the match.

The truck pulls in to the spectator fairground, where everybody is told to dismount. With a few hours to yourself, you wonder what you should do…
