Today, you might have just saved a young woman's life.

Of course, it's not a definite. By persuading Soma to return to her place at the Nameless Temple – or to consider the idea, at the very least – you aren't removing her from harm entirely. You're not sure if there's a way to completely remove someone from harm any more, not these days. Still, she'll be safer there than she would be anywhere else, like her old home with the Seer's lunatic cultists. That was a dangerous place to be, especially in the face of her dwindling faith.

Still, a different young woman died in the Nameless Temple, slain by one of the Emperor's soldiers. Shiki, her name was, and her death set a terrible chain of events in motion. There's a lesson there – never assume that things can't, or won't, get worse.

You never said it was an optimistic lesson.

With a certain degree of caution, all too aware of the trust implicit in the offer, you take Soma's revolver and hold it out to her, offering her the wooden grip. She accepts it like someone shaking hands with an old friend, her hand falling naturally into place on the worn grip. For a moment, she merely holds the gun at a casual angle, feeling the weight in her hand before tucking it away in the shapeless folds of her clothes. Then, fixing her gaze upon your one eye, she smiles softly. “Thank you,” she murmurs.

The road can be dangerous, you tell her with a shrug, a young woman needs protection. You half expect Soma to make some sarcastic remark, to insist that she could take care of herself, but she merely nods. Starting off, she pauses and turns back.

“You know...” she begins, “I heard him talk about sacrifices and acceptable losses before, but I never really... thought about it. He had this way about him where you wouldn't really think about what he was saying, not really. Not enough to question it, at any rate.”

Is that any surprise, you ask, when she was dealing with a man like him? Dictators tend not to approve of questions. Not if those questions make them look bad, in any case.

“Maybe so,” Soma pauses, “But we talked a lot, sharing opinions and debating. I thought he valued my opinion – and I suppose he did, as long as it aligned with his own views. I feel like I'm thinking clearly, for the first time in a very long time.”

Don't let that clarity become a distraction, you warn her, a bullet in the head won't care what kind of thoughts she has. Best to keep a low profile for a while.

“I understand,” Soma nods, “As soon as I can, I'm going to slip out. What about you, what are you doing now?”

I need a lethal TTRPG system for a WW2 campaign I have in mind.

Well, let me give more depth. I'm looking for something that will let me run, according to one outside observer who overheard me describing my ideas:
>"...war and agression and tension and frustration"

A squad of troops, behind enemy lines. Short on everything except enemies. Running out of time.

Help me make this real, /tg/.

May as well suggest Savage Worlds: Weird War 2 then. Up the damage on weapons or use the stats in the corebook (because the stuff in WW2 proper is mostly shit), use the Gritty Damage and no-rerolls-for-snake-eyes houserules, make your players count every bullet and be stingy with the bennies.
Have fun.

We have multiple, multilayered countermeasures in place for things like that, from the scientific (quantum locking sustained by perpetual energy, solidified gravity wielded as an alloy by the built-in furnaces etc) to the magical (magicka reactor used to duplicate a certain Thalmor mage's hat trick, magitech portal system), spiritual (biotech used to store space-time seals at structural points, artificial AT-Field generators) and conceptual (EX phantasm used to forge "worldmail": lots of bounded fields interlocking to spread out incoming damage, Correspondence sigils ordering reality to not let the ship's structural integrity collapse, built-in expanses of Imaginary Numbers moulded with the Sixth Imaginary Factor to catch debris in a limitless space trap) which double to make the ship very, very buff. Trust us, we spent a LOT of time using the Path to Victory for looking into emergency measures. Up to and including getting drunk and going for a joyride, for example-and that's why the captain's seat now has a tsundere Vocaloid-like AI programmed to yell at us for drinking and driving.

...

...admittedly it would be pretty bad if it happened. Probably something rather like Biomega's Megastructure, actually-a giant worm of metaspatial distortion and crystalised thought spilling out to encompass nearby planets and stars for energy-likely spanning intergalactic distances given just how immense an attack would be needed to breach the defences in the first place.

That's the problem with giving energy weapon absorbtion tech adaptive capabilities and effectively mass and energy generation to implement them; when the ship has the mother of all allergic reactions everything for lightyears get borked.

So question, is it possible to become something of an aspect from marvel? Or even at the very least a being capable of consuming whatever Galactus consumes.

I'm about to begin a new run and the theme this time is going to be evil/edgy. Where do you think I should start?

I'm planning on converting my Death Korp of Krieg army to a different ww1 inspired nation army
and I came across some Sikh heads from Perry for cheap
https://www.perry-miniatures.com/product_info.php?products_id=2881

I want to make a ww1 sikh regiment themed IG army, how do you guys think it'll look? (just imagine those heads on DKOK bodies)
72 posts and 21 images submitted.
>>
heads alone won't do, you would also need many pairs of squatting bare bottomed legs
>>
Just so you know, The BIA forces were generally recruited from populations that were considered martial. A lot of the Punjabi regiments were not sikhs per se but rather punjabis. Same with the Jats, Rajputs and the gurkhas.
>>
DKUK minis are based on Germans, so it kinda falls flat giving them British Empire heads.

Dangan Ronpa Quest.jpg
71KB, 1024x576px
Hello one and all, and welcome to Dangan Ronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc Quest. A quest inspired by the incredibly weeaboo series Dangan Ronpa. You like killing games like Battle Royale? You like Murder Mysteries? You just might enjoy this quest! (I make no guarantees though.) This Quest is set at the prestigious Yggdrasil Academy International, where a mysterious set of circumstances unfold.

Before we begin, you have to decide on who you are, and before you can decide that, I'll have to explain about Yggdrasil Academy International. Yggdrasil Academy is a prestigious boarding school catering to a specific set of secondary school students gathered from four countries: The United Kingdom, Australia, Canada, and the United States. There are two main entry requirements for this academy. One, students must already be attending secondary school, and be at least 16 years of age. Two, students must be the absolute best at a specific talent out of the combined student body of the four countries listed above. There is no way to apply to Yggdrasil Academy. The only way in is for the school itself to scout you. Because all students attending the academy have something they specifically are the absolute best at, they are referred to by a specific title.

Omegas.

As they're the complete end-point when it comes to students in pursuit of that talent, it's only fitting to call these end-points of talent Omegas. After all, there's no surpassing an Omega.

Anyway let's get down to business. You're one of these Omegas, and you've been scouted by Yggdrasil Academy International for your specific talent. We'll have to find out what talent that is, along with some other stuff. But first off, are you a guy or a girl?

I can't blame them too bad. They were sent to kill him and they did jjst that. If you need to reveal more to the bad guy, you should try to keep it as third party as possible, through notes and such. Also, just because they are fighting, doesn't mean he can't say something on his turn before rolls are made.

Yeah I'm not sure where you're seeing the problem because this thing is highly conditional.

If the ability doesn't go off or if you don't have other creatures it's just a vanilla 8/8 on turn 7, which can be chumped or removed pretty easily.

and third, people didn't travel all the fucking time and they knew what their shithole village had in it.
>>
I vaguely remember that signs were made into recognizable symbols, especially for pubs.

People that lived in towns had greater literacy than peasants in the field. Shops tended to have a picture on their sign as well as words. So "Inn" along with a picture of a mug and a bed, for example.

Peasants in the field rarely navigated anything more than the local village, where they likely knew everyone by name. You didn't need a sign saying "Bill's Blacksmith" to know that that was the place to get new horseshoes because you're friends with Bill.
