Sororitas appreciation thread.
i like it when they embrace the warp
it's less heresy dating a fallen sister than a full on daemon
well, that's what the warp acolytes tell me anyway

I fucking hate corrupted GK and sorroritas
They are pure as pure can be. Which is why they make good dad figures and waifus
Long story short, but my entire group just gave up on my RPG story after over a year of playing.
>A princess-esque character was leading a war against a rival country
>Player's job was to enforce her rule in cities, scout for her, go on diplomacy missions, etc.
>"aww please anon we really like her can she please be a part of one of our sessions?"
>resounding no, but they press until I allow it. I really hate not letting the players have input on the story, I like to keep them engaged. After 3 or 4 sessions, I give in.
"Alright, the princess will join you on the next fight"
>lots of cheering, group is pumped
>cut to the fight beginning
>on of the player characters, let's call him Krenk, uses what would be the equivalent of a Daily in DND.
>basically it let's him swap places with any other player. He spends a turn to ready it, then can use it at any time.
>I forget about it, getting too focused on the battle because I like to keep my players in the heat
>fast forward
>players are fighting a massive demon now, everyone is at about 4HP, essentially 1 hit would kill anyone
"Krenk, you lost the roll. The demon's hammer swings down and obliterates you. Your body crumples beneath the concentrated weight. The sound of crunching bones would have filled the air had the shock wave from the hammer being swung not been louder. Blood splatters across all the walls and your fellow members. Everyone, resistance roll plus intelligence modifier to see if you're stunned."
>group begins to pick up some dice when
>"uhh, instead, I swap places with, with the uh, the princess."
(1/2)
>entire group goes silent
"The... Princess dies..."
>players slowly realize what just happened to the story and all the progress they've made
>players get rather upset because they worked hard for the princess and feel like everything they've done has gone to waste
"Wait, no, she doesn't need to be in the story. I can work without her."
>"Yeah, we know you can. We just really don't feel like doing this campaign without the princess."
"What if we restart this fight without the princess in it so she can live?"
>"No,she already died, it happened."
"So you don't want to go back to when she was alive and prevent her death, and you don't want to continue without her?"
>"Basically."
The ruined the game for themselves and wouldn't let me fix it. Its been probably over a year and a half. At least 77 sessions, 3-4 hours a piece, now in the trash. Not sure how to take this, guys.

Why not just make a quest to ressurect her? Or the group could try to save her from the not!greekunderworld.
>>47013291
They don't want anything. They refuse to continue playing the story. They don't want to resurrect her, heal her, take her to a shaman to get her spirit, I've thrown multiple things on the table, they simply said they don't want to play that anymore. They're fine if we start over with an entire new campaign, theyre just too crushed by her dying in the first place from what I'm gathering. It's their only complaint, and they've liked the story up until that point.
>locked door
>didn't have a rogue in the party
>I have the spell "conjure animal"
>conjure a swarm of ants to crawl into the lock to help me pick it
>dm gives me 24 ants
>back and forth between tumblers crushing ants and me animal handling them back under control
>door opens with only 5 noble casualties
So basically this?

>ant-man for ants.jpg
>it works with the rules
>it's completely bullshit
>pc solutions
What does /tg/ think of If The Emperor Had a Text To Speech Device?
i like it
I don't like it.
I'm unsure whether I like it or not
What's your favorite Board James episode /tg/?
>>47012742
I guess the Heroquest episode? James Rolfe seems to mostly have terrible tastes in board games. Or maybe because his collection is 80s/90s and popular games from that era are mostly terrible.
>>47012875
He has some real gems in his collection. But yea it's mostly a notalgic look at lots of games that were around but lots of kids didn't play because they were rather expensive and hard to find.
The best episode is obviously Dragon Stirke;

Which was the game where you had to aim plastic weaponry at each other's shit?
It's Saturday night, so lets have a Draw Your Party Thread.

Jesus, this is a weakass party.
A monk, a fighter (with +1 level adjustment), and a soulknife?
SERIOUSLY?
Arguably the single most powerful in all of Nudibranch Battle Cards.
What do you have that can hope to challenge this?
I play the Clown Dorid!

I play my Gay Sea Clown in defense mode and end the turn
No one suspects the cute ones.
Dump your murder, torture, burnings, and all that other good stuff in the name of the church and god here.
Bonus points for creativity.

Can't wait to use cardboard cutouts
Hello,
I need some help with the back story of a character I made for D&D. He is a human ranger, and his major characteristic is that he hates trees and his enemy species is plants. I've decided that he comes from a long line of tree hating woodsmen.
What I really need help with is creating a reason for this generations of hatred, and hopefully some family oral history to explain it. Something that could be told from father to son, possibly in a religious/moral story style.
I was thinking that his family is convinced that trees want to kill humans so that they won't be cut down any more. That there is a vast tree conspiracy to eradicate humans, and possibly all other life.
Any suggestions would be fantastic!
His great grandpappy saw The Happening.

This shit raped his mother and destroyed his lands

The hatred of trees seems silly. Why not have a vendetta against Ents and similar things that masquerade as trees? He comes from a woodland environment and over generations gradually more and more Ents started to appear. They perceived the humans as intruding upon nature and started to attack, using their perfect mimicry of trees. The humans in turn naturally felt attack by monsters, they had been using the forest as their livelihood for generations.
Post what your abhumans look like
Abhumans are evolutionary adaptations. That's clearly a mutation.

Trying to put together a Vampire Hunter D/Castlevania, gothic/post apocalyptic campaign and would like suggestions for a system to run. Gonna pull ideas from both worlds and will probably lift a bit from Ravenloft and some other sources but not sold on a full D&D system.
Ideas, hooks and system suggestions welcome, in the mean time Gothic/Hunter/Vampire art dump.
