Welcome to the thread dedicated Superhero TTRPGs!

Discussion on all systems is welcome and here's our link collection for a handful of different ones

In the previous wave of threads, we have started an outpouring of worldbuilding for a "Cape World" setting, although the flood has since calmed down so don't be afraid to ask for help with your own setting.
Some stuff has been collected into pastebins

That's awful.
Any ability that makes that sound would be awful.

Quick question: How much thought do you put into the sound your powers make?

I play from time to time. Zoan/Venom/Malanthropes take pretty much always every Elite slot I have and sometimes I want to bring Hive Guard, etc...
>>47954905
I don't see much to whine about Genestealer Cults. They have pretty good rules considering they are part Tyranid (Hybrids being better than actual Genestealers, Formation with turn 1 charges and 4+ cover in the open). Only thing is that I don't see a need for a Codex unless they do some considerable changes since none of the units can buy anything or change their unit numbers

Also if you ally with Inp Guard for tanks people won't walk away over fluff disgust.

Gravity combined with forward velocity. Friction helps too.

Now me, I've never actually used percentile dice or anything outside of Shadowrun and D&D, but I gotta say throwing a pile of d6s in the former is fun as hell.

Welcome to a thread where we discuss the backstory to a children's card game and make awful OC for the same setting. Expect the lowest quality of fanfiction and self-inserts in this thread. Remember, every snowflake is shit, especially yours and especially mine.

Previous thread: >>47902082
What happened in it? Some lore was discussed, the second sheets of the snowstorm and joke sheet were made and nothing of value was produced by anyone at all.

There's also a repository where someone is obsessively hoarding all of the OC we produce, whether it's a shitty snowflake planeswalker or a terrible story. Whatever you make, expect it to be saved. Here's the repository:

And if you're interested in discussing the lore that's almost as bad as what we make, then here's the latest MtG lore article featuring everyone becoming one'mrakul:

Enjoy your stay and don't forget, all snowflakes are shit, especially yours and especially mine.

Start of 4th edition 40k when I realised all the cooler later founding chapters were Ultramarine descendants.
>>
>>47953066
I don't really have any big issue with the Ultramarines as a concept, I just wish that they'd stop getting pushed like a dry turd all over the rest of the Space Marine lore. Spiritual liege shit aside, they're not bad, I even like the Greco-Roman thing they've got going on as a chapter gimmick.

For reference, my favorite chapters are the Raptors and Imperial Fists.

Once upon a time, you died and went to hell. Then came the End Times. Rather than crumbling to the invading armies of daemons, humanity fought back. Now they have invaded Hell and broken it's armies. Satan lies dead, killed by several anti-shipping missiles, and his Lords squabble and fight each other. Hell, or at least the city of Dis and the surrounding areas, are under the control of the Republic of the Abyss. But Hell is vast, and the tortured are free. Now, you must make of your un-life what you will, because not even all the forces of man can truly occupy a place as inhospitable to the living as Hell. All the while, the forces of God wait and watch for their moment to strike.

Now we need plothooks for the players to follow. Post-Hell states? There's a lot of kings and queens and emperors from throughout history stuck in Hell. If you swore service for life to a king who you though had divine right, what do you do now?

What's Heaven's reaction to this? Did they take all the true believers up in a beam of light, or is heaven now an international polity with trade relationships with earth?

Assuming Revelations is accurate, does Jesus get his millenium reign on earth again, or did us curbstomping hell stop that?

How does he feel about it?

Welcome back, Kestrels, to the thirty-fifth installment of Mecha Space Pirate Quest. As always, you are Admiral Roarke Susan Starwind, leader of the Iron Kestrels pirate fleet, master of the startship Rhinehawk, pilot of the indomitable Knuckle Kaiser, girlherder, and a man with a far more significant bounty than you started out with.

>AAAAWWWWWWW YYYYYIIIISSSSSS!!! MOTHERCLUCKIN' MECHA SPACE PIRATE QUEST!

Welcome back, Mr. Wong. Hopefully that was the timeskip.
>>
Also, 4chan did not want to cooperate with me at first.

So, we're going to do a little timeskip to the end of the week and Fatima's return. Roarke has a lot of small, minor tasks worth glossing over on his plate, but rather than have breather chapter after breather chapter devoted to lighthearted fun, I thought it was time we got down to business.

Seeking out the Master for training has not happened yet. I would never skip over something like that. A pirate's life is often a busy one.

Assuming magic existed similar to DnD, lasted well into the modern age, it wouldn't be so ridiculous a notion to assume that they'd regulate a la gun control right?

I can already picture it now
>owning tomes that teach you how to cast fireballs or magic missile get you on an NSA/FBI terrorist watch list
>staves, wands and other enchanted items are heavily regulated requiring years worth of licensing and background checks to own; caught with an unregistered magical item lands you a heavy prison sentence
>get arrested for performing healing magic without an official medical or religious license to practice it
>most item enchantments are kept from public access and only for military and law enforcement
>potions are rigorously tested by the FDA before hitting the shelves
>illegal to own any kind of exotic mythical creature

>>
>"Top story of the hour: Do minor enchantments cause autism in small children? A controversial new report from the Bureau of Magic, Enchantments, and Alchemy seems to indicate a correlated link between the presence of even minor item enchantments in households with small children and the increased likelihood of being diagnosed with autism. This report drew widespread condemnation from Enchantment rights activists with the National Wizard's Association calling for the resignation of the director of the MEA, quoted as calling it 'divisive fear mongering by those seeking to strip the American magicians community of [their] constitutional rights' and as 'having no statistical basis in this, or any other, material plane of existence."

Yes. Sanctioned Xenos exist, once in a great while a whole species gets sanctioned and individual commanders aren't above cutting a "the enemy of my enemy is my friend" sort of truce with some species.
