Never try to anticipate a player's actions or necessarily force them down a path or adventure. Rather, write the story of what would happen /without/ any character intervention. In this way you have something to fall back to, a story players can get involved in but they aren't necessarily railroaded.

I.e:

Timmy falls down the well into dungeon

(quest to save timmy offered, could be ignored)

Timmy gets possessed by well demon

(quest to defeat well demon)

Timmy demon slaughters town and raises dead

Pitch the hook, not the adventure. The adventure is technically anything they decide to do after falling for the hook, so you should only have bullet points, locations, and NPCs ready to go should they stumble onto your breadcrumbs.

A question about Mage: The Awakening.

Soulstones allow you to create a demense of varying size and power based off of the number of soulstones you have. However, to me the text reads as though you only get credit for one of your own and any additional stones used to expand the demense must be from another mage. Is that the case?

If you buy multiple soulstones from the item section, can you not stack them and create a larger demense or do you have to find other soulstones while in the jump to make your demense bigger?

Personally, I run a colorless Eldrazi deck with newlamog as my commander. I'm stoked to finally have Emmy in my deck too. I have some processors wasting space in my deck, so I hope these new Eldrazi can take their place.

I use pic related in my Kalemne deck along with urza's incubator. I need to cast in fatties not cheat them in so it helps a ton. My friends and I are super kitchen casual though so my decks are far from optimized.

It's not dead, but reasons for declining popularity is rarity gouging by the printers in non-JP markets by making important competitive cards that were common in JP the rarest cards in other countries, to the tune of $30, $50, $65, or even $100 each.

Also constantly invalidating old decks after very short periods and constant power creep, as well as sweeping mechanic changes such as synchros being made irrelevant by xyz, and now pendulums.

In short, greedy Asian parent company, much like how F2P games have.

Because the additions to the game were so incredibly stupid while Magic remained somewhat decent.

I will always be partial to the BA as they were my first. I like the IF too because sieges. Executioners are my favourite if we're talking about niche chapters, they were absolutely badass during Badab.

Not many chapters that I really dislike honestly.

Does anyone else that big guys are more important/better in league formats than in open match making?

In a league you can roster and cut a big guy depending on your opponent so it is more tv independent and it helps protect your squad from attrition to have one

IMO merc big guys shouldn't cost the extra 40k or what ever to hire for a match
