It would have to be a lot hotter, and it would probably just be constant rain nonstop, assuming the oceans have just evaporated and are in a constant state of evaporation.
Alternatively you could imagine another ice age.
In this case oceans would be more shallow, coastline will be where once sea was. At least near the equator..

Cyberpunk 2020 referee here, I'm planning to try some Call Of Cthulhu with some friends, I wanted to ask you what kind of dice I'd need in this game (I only have D10/D6 one).
Tabletop RPG aren't very popular around here so I can't really have any advice in my area :/

2d10 and a handful of sixes will get you a long way, but you'd probably appriciate a full set of dice. Don't need the d20, but the d8 and d4 are handy in Chaosium's system.

CoC uses mostly d%, so 2 distinct d10s would be a great start.
For damage and san checks you often need d4, d6, and d8.
The quick start rules are free to download. Other systems to look at are Nemesis and DG beta 4. Both are free downloads as well. DG is pretty much CoC, but with some minor yet significant changes, especially to sanity and damage. It is written for its own setting but will work for anything, just the significance of bonds may change. Nemesis is pretty much the ORE version of the same...

How is playing an explosion wizard not the ultimate character?
Door in the way? Explode it.
Martials trying to club your face in? Explode them.

Hi /tg/. Quick question to get all you worldbuilders thinking.
How do you differentiate dwarves from gnomes? Not just how dwarves are miners by trade, and their proportions are slightly different. These two races are very similar. How do you create obvious boundaries and make these two races nothing alike.
Also, this question stands for kobolds and goblins. Kobolds are usually less of tinkerers, but these small tribal green meanies are too alike in everything but appearance. Try to come up with some ways to separate these two as well.

What are some RP systems that are easy for an idiot like me to GM?
I tried to run a D&D game for some friends recently and my players kept having to remind me of game mechanics. It was very casual but I probably should have put more time into committing stuff to memory. All that information is very daunting to keep on your mind while also keeping everyone engaged
Bonus points if there's an option for me to run a Spaceman campaign
Try Fate maybe? You need to work up a skill list suitable to things spacemen do, and work with players to establish things about the setting they can reflect in their Aspects, but it's pretty easy to get going.
Dungeon world or a similar system running on powered by the apocalypse. Bigger emphasis on storytelling, with dice rolls just indicating failure, partial success or success, and the details left to players/gm
Try Call of Cthulhu.
