Man, if they have to fight, the second is going to win I suppose. Neither got into many direct conflicts but the second carried a lot harder when they did. Though I suppose it would depend a lot on who gets the drop on who. Neither were particularly durable characters, one by nature of his classes, the other by nature of the system.

My group has expressed an interest in playing a comic book superhero type game, but the last try we had (Mutants and Masterminds 2e) left us underwhelmed. Any recommendations or stories of success?

The world was created by now defunct/dead/forgotten gods known only to antiquity as The Creators.

What's up? I'm working on a world building project for both a campaign and a book/graphic novel at some point in the future, but I'm a little stumped on how I can go about including magic without it being a clusterfuck of fantasy tropes.
Anyone have some ideas? I feel like this has already been done from every angle.

Magic is the biggest trope in fantasy, don't worry about your ideas being original or fresh, because there's no such thing as new ideas.

Magic is a finite resource, the leftover scraps from when the gods created the world. Every time you use it to change reality that bit of magic is gone for good. Some day it'll all run out.

You should have some consistent rules for yourself on how magic functions/interacts with the world.
That isn't to say you should be exhaustive with those rules, or that you should even really explain them to the player/reader in depth. They should be just vague enough to do what you like, and allow the player/reader to feel like they can suspend their disbelief.

Game plan, we know the Akatski want all the tailed beasts, lets get a sample of all their chakra bar 9 tails and stor eit, one we get a sample of his we call a meeting of the 5 kage and implant a sample of each into Kon, whom will now have a sample of each tailed beast resulting in a fraction of Ten tailed power, but a fraction of infinite is still infinite, BOOM Kon is really powerful and can stand up there with the best of them
