Have you ever gotten anything /tg/ related for christmas or whatever the other ones are? What was it?
>>44179852
My family routinely gets me board games for christmas.
Last year it was Galaxy Trucker, with the first Big expansion.
>>44179852
My freinds and family know about my /tg/ hobbies so pretty much every event i get something. Usually some warhammer or xwing or boardgames.
My parents bought me and my older bro Gorkamorka when we were little.
It was sweet.
Hey /tg/ I just finished up my friend's gundam campaign and I have to say, GURPS does not mech well. I mean maybe it was the GM's fault but we were never in a balanced fight, for example, one toon that was specced for defense at the cost of mobility almost always lost a limb, that moment we fought anything approaching our level we always suffered a casualty and the speed rules seemed to always feel like our battlefield was either too large or too small. Like I said, this could GM incompetence but me and the other players have been wracking our brains over what system would work better in the future (I wish cthulutech didn't suck).
So let me get to the point: I was looking at 4e and it seems to have the potential to work as a mech game but I'm really inexperienced with the system. Can anyone weigh in on this?
>>44179685
>one toon that was specced for defense at the cost of mobility
>one toon
>toon
Get out.
>>44179707
Ooookay its just a turn of phrase nothing to get upset about
There are mech devoted systems I implore you to try before doing a 4E homebrew.
Heavy Gear
GGG
Mekton Zeta
Hell, M&M has a splatbook detailing mechs (and weeb shit) that I used to run a good mech game.
But MOST of all

"What do you mean by 'nothing good'?" You ask.
"At the moment they're all off forming alliances of their own, amongst themselves" She says, giving a derisive snort. "Huddling up like scared animals"
Tasha takes another sip, licking her lips and examining her glass contemplatively.
"We pretend to be great, powerful and wise" She says. "But in reality you'll find that we are small, weak, and impulsive"
"I noticed that" You say. "The impulsive part, I mean"
She takes another sip. "You have a better eye than most, and a better vantage point" She says. "Few have gotten to interact with us so casually"
"Not by choice" You say.
"Yes, well... we don't always get to make the important decisions" She says.
Tasha goes quiet for a second, before downing the rest of her glass and pouring another.
You raise an eyebrow at the act. You're no expert, but it's safe to say that something is troubling her...

Hey guys, I'd just like to point out thanks to you idiots getting Kyla killed we are now looking at a possible XK class end-of the-world scenerio, you've just taken a bunch of man children who crave power and fear confrontation, and put them in a scenerio where they've suddenly become aware that they can be killed ""conventionally"", this means there is a decent chance they may decide all that dank sun created and blood moon mana might not be worth the risk. The easiest way for them to bury the secret of whatever happened would be to destroy the earth and everyone on it, and preferably before any other god figures out what happened. This especially puts the scholar at risk because we all know his autistic ass is studying this.
Believe it or not now we're worse off than ever. Before we were just talking a CK class restructuring event where humanity was no longer the dominant form of life on earth. Still pretty shit but nowhere near as bad.
I don't see a good way out of this other than kill all the gods and do it fast.

What does /tg/ think of Fist of the North Star and, more importantly, are there any good wargames that lovingly rip it off?
I heard that Road Kill by West Wind Productions might be the best bet, but could not find hide nor hair of the rules other than a reference sheet.

Lloyd and Leigh have parted ways due to a... Disagreement, shall we say, in interpretation of events. Four members of Marrius' Group have splintered in light of recent events.
Lloyd, our hero, has become a Spirit Charmer to pick up the slack.
Yancy, Yulea, Leigh, and Ansi are trying to figure out where to go from here.
In the meantime, the passing of Lupus is far from the end of the continent of Teege's worries.

Why do some people seem to have a fetish for stirring shit and being supreme austists? Last night was the first fucking time I've ever had PvP in a D&D session, two out of our five man party are dead, would have been three but the third was waiting to see who would win before jumping in on our side. We had had a great session, made a strong ally, about to get some sick XP, and these two faggots go all murderhobo for some derpy magic item they "couldn't have."
It literally went from "Great job team!" to tense and awkward in 5 seconds flat. A big part of me blames the DM because one of the players has pulled this shit in other games of his before, but still, what the fuck possesses people to do this? They knew I'm fucking LG, they knew that shit would cause at least bad feelings, if not a fight. I just don't get it.
Anyways, new hobbies you might suggest?
>>44177758
The two autists had both decided to kill the NPC we had just saved for an item he had. Like I said, they knew I would try to stop them, it was a deliberate shit-stirring that served no purpose.
I'm not whining or tantruming, as you pointed out we won, I don't have to reroll, but what I'm looking for is some insight into what makes people think this is OK, because I just can't relate.

Welcome to Banished Quest!
You take the role of a young mage labeled a criminal by his people and cast out into the wider world. In the last thread you interrogated the Matriarch of the Demir Clan and allowed your brother to decide her fate.
It is currently the 24th of Svarthi, in the year 936 NH.

Using names or trips in this quest is heavily discouraged. While it is impossible for me to prevent you from doing so, I ask that you not. I will also not count any votes made while using names or trips.
You pause just beyond the heavy oak door isolating the palace's tower suite. Should you really let your brother, emotionally compromised as he is by an assassination attempt, interrogate the perpetrator? You wouldn't call him prone to fits of rage, far from it in fact, but on those few occasions that you have seen him incensed it's never ended well.
You briefly recall a boy, a bastard of the Aslan Clan several years your elder, who used to taunt you when you were young for having a high-pitched voice, and generally torment you besides. When you told your brother, Zaahir beat the boy nearly half to death with a blunted training saber. The bastard walked away with a broken nose, cracked rib, and a cut across his cheek that scarred him for life. Incidentally you later apprenticed with his legitimate half-sister and ended up on somewhat good terms with him, but as far as you're aware he fears your brother to this day.
You're drawn out of your reminiscence by what sounds like glass breaking. Whatever happens, it's not really your place to interfere. The attempt wasn't on your life, it was on your brothers, and besides that he's the one ruling in your father's stead. That in mind you resolve to make yourself scarce, marching staunchly towards the stairs. Finding the dungeons is a task in and of itself, but you get some directions from a servant and eventually find the heavy iron door leading to the dungeon.
(1/3)
There's no immediately apparent way to open the door, no handle nor cross bar. However you do note that the carvings of interlocked Palaka worms show signs of scratching where they meet and they seem to be fused with the stone wall near the base of the door. On a hunch you place your hand against the metal in the space between their two gaping mouths and channel just a touch of vys. You're promptly rewarded by the screeching of metal grinding against metal as the worms retract, sliding into the walls with grace and fluidity you wouldn't typically associate with iron sculptures.
Once the only thing remaining of the worms is their eyeless heads peeking out of their respective nooks, the door swings open of its own volition and you're permitted entry. You're roughly halfway down the stairs when you hear the door sliding shut behind you. Fortunately the stairwell is well lit by strange lanterns which, rather than the traditional flame, simply generate a glowing ball of soft blue light.
How old is this palace, really? It certainly predates the Fall of Hiacia, at least parts of it do. Perhaps originally it was some sort of fortress, built up over the years as the city grew around it into a proper noble seat.
At the bottom of the stairs you find yourself in a short hallway with exceptionally low ceilings, you're forced to duck your head to avoid scraping it against the stone. There are nine gates composed of iron bars arrayed both vertically and horizontally, four on either side and one at the end with the stairwell behind you. Each of these doors seems to open up into a long hallway in turn also lined with doors. Exploring the entire dungeons would probably take hours, it's fortunate you don't need to.
(2/3)
From the doorway on your immediate right, you can hear Darzi's familiar voice, as well as another you don't recognize. A man's, you think. The conversation is heated, so much so you can hear it even from where you're standing some forty feet or more away.
“-leave just so you can kill them once we've gone! We need to keep them alive, and after what's happened they need to rest!”
That's Darzi. Seems she's getting all defensive of the captured slaves. The man, presumably the interrogator, responds forcefully but with an even tone. “I will do as Surya commands and punish these slaves for their insolence until I am certain they have given up the names of all their coconspirators. You have fulfilled your task by reviving them, now allow me to fulfill my own.”
>You should probably get Darzi and your companions out of here before they cause more trouble.
>Hey, these slaves are valuable. You can't go beating them willy nilly. Back Darzi up.
>Write-in
We really need to decide what to call this thing.

Well? Does it? Do geneseed defects cause an astartes to have a rotten soul? Also does the Emperor judge his astartes holiness based upon their geneseed purity or deeds?
>>44172563
No it does not unless it leads them to xause hersey
Having a geneseed is a corruption of the soul. They are pieces of the Warp stolen from the Chaos gods themselves just like the Emperor stole his powers from them. Why do you think Space Marines are so compatible with Chaos? They are a mockery of them.

look at it this way:you can slowly indoctrinate him into elven culture and eventually convince him polygamy is normal.
Alternatively, just ask for a divorce, humans are used to that concept. Hell, he might as you for it if you wait long enough.
>>44164583
Ask him for a divorce after he hits 100.
Tell him you signed on for a relationship lasting a normal human lifespan, and you're not prepared to commit for multiple centuries.

You are Brianna la Croix, queen of undead chickens, and the two people you've dated recently - who are both still trying to fucking court you - are holding hands while one sleeps and the other keeps watch.
>>44162495
...and you know what, you're okay with this. Amy sleeps better with someone to cuddle with. She tries - sweet Ancestors, she tries - because she doesn't want to feel needy, or weak. But the half-harpy has bad dreams and bad nights, and you've sang her to sleep on more than one, reminding her that it's okay to cry.
They can have their moment.
You sit up, earning a glance from Nathan, but you shake your head and click your tongue softly for Fetch. The helmeted undead chicken knight hops into your lap, and you remove his tiny helmet so you can stroke his head with your finger. He streches and snuggles happily into you.
Looking around the camp, you catch Miranda's eye; the armored dwarf sits in a chair, patiently weaving together a chain-link net with a pair of pliers and the steadiest hands you've ever seen. You see black iron links, amidst the steel, and nod in approval - that'll pin the dead, amongst other things.
With you awake, Nathan drifts off to sleep. You make a pot of the rose hip tea and settle in to wait, thoughts drifting.
