right, i forgot about how easy it is to brew your own homebrew winning deck for any of the 3 major formats, not to mention cheap.
MTG takes so much skill.
fuck this shitty game. 500$ to play something that will rotate out in 6 months, and new sets full of shit cards that drop from 50$ to 2$ in a week.
This game is bullshit.
>>44627980
Get the hell out, Redditturd.
>>44627980
I agree. 20+ year player here.
This explains why Modern is so popular now. Perhaps this is calculated?
Unless you are a "pro player" and keeping up with standard is literally your job, the direction Wizards is going is troubling. TCC makes good points.
It's pretty shit, MTG went from "fun card game to dick around with at the FLGS" to "literally everyone is competitive, don't even show up if you're not running a netdeck that costs more than a beater car on craigslist".
Also WotC ruined the aesthetic of all their franchises with the shitty deviantart level art direction, game jumped the shark a decade ago. TCGs as "fun" games are a thing of the 90s, playing this shit in 21st century is just nah.
Similar thing happened to wargames. Basically, if you want to actually...

What colour would be a character with this description:
relaxed, harmless creatures that observe their environment. They rarely interfere anything, but just keep observing. They rarely talk, just look around and smile.

principle of wu-wei (non-action) while his smiling facial expression

And a shapeshifting bandit who's gonna join us on our quest! This is going to be a walk in the park.

Fortunately my companion's great culinary skills will help us recruit more allies. Elven swordmaster beats my ass but amazing chocolate cake sways him to join our cause, The future is bright.

You are Sir Fetch the Nightfeather, knight in service to Brianna la Croix, and in this battle you are ammunition. Literally.

Cluck.

You are currently in a high place of the cavern, cradled in the arms of Diving Shadow; your brothers ride her shoulders patiently, their claws gripping her flesh.
You can see the Baron's men marching. The contingent is fairly large - roughly fifty, with perhaps a dozen Overseers - and followed by a mass of skeletons being herded by a thin, reedy man in a broad hat.
<That's the necromancer> Brianna says in your mind. <Remember, you can't hurt him. Don't even try. I need...

Distractions! Might make an opening for the Shadow to either bind him or snatch the badge.
What should I put in my mad science lab? Setting is futuristic, lab is biology based. You know the kind; Frankenstein "meddling in god's domain" sort of deal. I've got my players coming over tomorrow and I've got some stuff done but I've also got a migraine.
Please help. Any suggestions are welcome.
Shelves stuffed with jars containing various preserved specimen, all pale and gross. They move sometimes, inside their jars.
The room of chimeras.
I've always been a fan of rooms with giant dead things. Like the ones in evangelion that you see every now and again. Just skeletons or partial corpses of giant things in an otherwise austere and sterile environment.
The mandatory clone vats. Can't have a lab without them. Must be vertical glass cylinders, preferably filled with green goop.
How would you tweak your favorite setting?
Remove Immortal Elves from Shadowrun. Nobody likes them anyway.
>>44627279
I would mash Dragonlance with Greyhawk.
>>44627309
Seconded. Also remove Elminster and the Seven Sisters from FR.

i love book of the new sun!
So I'm a drawing and in art school. our next assignment is to pick two characters/creatures from mythology, literature, history, science, etc.
and redraw them with my own design. What do you guys think I should draw? I'm sure there's plenty of races or gods that don't get enough love.
Pic is my work from my last assignment.

Stupid phone. I mean to say I'm a draw fag
You know what's cool? Chimera. With at least lion, goat and snake parts.
>>44626729
How about something Polynesian? Tons of cool mythology there that doesn't get paid a lot of attention.
What if Doom is about first contact of mankind with Chaos?

RNG is what makes games fun. Prove me wrong.

Wow...didn't know there was something that made you take damage from food. Well, that's how it goes when you push the envelope.
>>44626373
Is that game any good? I don't trust /v/.
>>44626373
Depends on the aim of the game. But yes, generally a certain amount of RNG makes things fun.

If you go in with the right mindset, yes.
Can Orks feel sadness?
Definitely maybe.
They perpetually experience the existential dread of not having enuff' dakka
>>44626102
There was a story, I think in one of the chapter approveds, that said that orks didn't feel sad when their friends died, but they did get lonely. I'll see if I can find it.

Why does D&D impose penalties for strength and other stats over race, but not over sex?

Because sex is a purely cosmetic detail in D&D, unless your DM decides otherwise.

I'd love to see a spell compendium that stats out a spell effect and then gives its stats in Sorcery, RPM, and skill-based magic.
Obviously that also means we need a skill-based magic system with spell design rules.
The cool thing is that once you have a spell statted out in sorcery, you can easily change it into a psychic power, shamanistic ability, or whatever else just by changing the power modifier.
Do any of you cunts know about any games clubs in Fife? I know there are a few in Dunfermline but that's quite the bus ride from me. The closest store to me is the GW in Dundee and I don't think they're too big on playing against legion stuff.

My introduction to it was someone bringing it up specifically because it didn't have elves, when posting a picture of a technicolor elf.
That was all I ever felt I needed to know.
