Just played against UB Eldrazi on Xmage, I was playing Junk.
This eldrazi deck is fucking lame, and GBx is all but dead. My main deck will be Twin for the last time tomorrow and then I'll probably sell out of modern. One, because this new meta shift is about to be gay as fuck, and two, because no tier 1 deck I buy will ever be safe.

Casey’s got your back, “Guy’s relax, he can just.” She focuses her face for a moment and the rock Casey’s sitting on lifts upwards, the blonde yelping and clinging tighter to it, Gotsumon recoiling a little and looking nervous as Casey drops it.
“Woah…” Jeff breathes.
“Ask Witchmon, if you wanna learn some magic.” You tell them before the question comes. “She’s more than friendly about teaching it.”
“I wonder if it’ll carry over, if we get home.” Jeff mutters, clicking his fingers, “That’d be pretty cool.”
Probably doesn’t, you figure… but it would be cool.
Elecmon yawns, leaning against your thigh, before both the girls stand. “Well, we’re going to ask about a shower.” Eva announces, “DON’T follow us.” You can’t tell which of you that’s directed at more, as they slip away into the dark.
“Like anyone’d want to follow her narrow ass.” Jeff grumbles, staring into the flames. “God damn, it’s been a week.” He sighs, “Have you found any time to…” He makes a pumping motion, “You know, with Casey around?”

My name is Cecile, and I'm sixteen years old. I already thought my life was odd, what with my parents having moved halfway across the country for their new job and leaving me in the care of my older sister... but then my best friend went and had a book shipped to my house that ended up giving me superpowers.
Things have been pretty rough since last night. First we found that the serial arsonist was a completely different person from the masked man who Theresa saw the other day, then that same masked man showed up out of nowhere, thanked us for "clearing his name" concerning the arson, and then let it drop that both he and Irene were the same as the voice in my head that I've been forced to put up with ever since reading that stupid book.
And if that wasn't bad enough, later that night I woke up to the freak breaking into my room and stealing the cactus that I've been taking care of for the past year. I know that it may not worth much to anyone else, but it's still something that was important to -me-.

So instead, I throw a towel on my head to serve as a barrier between my wet hair and the rest of my body, quickly slip on my clothes, and head on out of the bathroom.

The top 2 decks prior to the ban both ran it. Esper Familiar needed it pretty bad, so it's not really a thing any more. People are arguing about how bad mono-U needed it but it certainly helped.

Though he looks to be panicking quite a bit the elderly man rushes to a nearby cabinet, searching through it for several seconds before producing a syringe filled with a green liquid. Tapping it several times, as he approaches you, the world seems to slow to a crawl, up until the point where he shoves the needle into your neck, forcing the plunger down, pushing the liquid inside of you... the last thing you see or feel before you're falling back to the bed, the ungodly pain you've felt until now suddenly vanishing as though it were never there at all.
Darkness, the comfort of the absence of anything else, just you, nothing else floating in the endless void with you.

You’re not sure how many days have passed. At least two weeks, you think. All of the pain and cramps and aches are all blending together to form an incomprehensible mess where time ceases to have meaning. Weekends, weekdays, holidays. There is nothing here in Camp Cocytus but Crunch Time.
Sun up, it’s back to the daily grind with everyone else, punctuated only by the brief respite of boot camp chow. Sun down, and you stumble into your cot, feeling as if you’re half-dead. Sometimes, you question the decisions that lead you here. Sure, you don’t regret joining, but it’s really taxing you to the limit.
With that said, for all your internal and vocal bitching, you can definitely feel yourself getting stronger.
Prior to your arrival, you couldn’t run faster than a seven minute mile. Now, you’re at about five-thirty and still left with plenty of energy to spare. And though you’re still unable to fully complete one hundred push-ups, one hundred sit-ups and one hundred squats without taking at least three breathers (Fitz and MacKay are able to do it with only one), you’re still able to finish that much, at least.
You aren’t anywhere near Fitz or MacKay, but you’ve managed to keep ahead of Brady and Victoria, who have also made great progress since their arrival, especially Brady. Both of them can keep up and complete the exercise, albeit within a slightly longer time-span than yours.
And the best part? Alger’s negativity seems to have faded away to dry humor and the occasional snark.

What are some homebrew options to make one-handed weapons worth using in a world where Great Weapon Master and Sharpshooter exist?

One handed weapons are more or less the domain of Rogues, Sword and Board or Bladesingers.
They (usually) will never out DPT Great Weapons, but they're generally a good option to take because by having a free hand you can sling spells (without spending a feat) or just give yourself a flat +2AC. Why be a damage dealer when you can make yourself a tar pit?

American football is about style and being imposing rather than gameplay. It's a more entertaining show than soccer or rugby, even though the gameplay in those is better.
Plus, it's a lot more structured, ie it's broken down into smaller chunks, and easier to translate into other formats because of it.
The different field positions in american football are a lot more like "classes", too. There's a greater difference between the big guys and the small guys than there is in the other two sports, soccer in particular.
