Two things that worked great for me.
1. Print targets like >>29194960 posted, maybe edit them a bit more to your liking before printing.
They're not necessarily 100% right every time, but they do keep your mind on the things you should and shouldn't be doing. I felt like it just helped me form good habits above all else.
2. Get a (nice)pellet rifle and shoot like there's no tomorrow if you want some rifle training. Get some paper or 3 size cheap rimfire spinner targets they sell for like 10-20 bucks, and have at it till you are bored with anything but the small one. Then increase the distances.

So what exactly is wrong with an R700 chambered in 30-06?
I always hear a lot of shit talk about Remington but why is that so? I haven't really used any of their guns as I typically use slavshit for everything. I want a newer rifle I don't have to worry about getting dirty and I don't know why the R700 would be bad for this.
What other platforms should I look at for a reliable bolt action 30-06?

You can easily make a pistol or shotgun out of nonferrous metals. The only slightly hard part would be springs but that's not a big deal.

Once upon a time I was a Canadian Army Cadet and all we ever did was Drill and survival skills, we were just glorified scouts with uniforms and parades.
As a kid it would have been cool as shit to handle live firearms and do patrols and section attacks... but looking at this made me feel really uncomfortable as an adult. I can sorta see now why the Department of National Defense always treated us like a dirty secret, constantly weary of the child soldier comparison.
Am I being unreasonable? I mean what a guy does with his kids on their property is none of my business but a government program that gives stupid little faggots guns and teaches actual army skills seems to be asking for a disaster.
Do any other youth organizations act this way? Are the American Scouts this militarized?

OFFICE/WORKPLACE SCENARIO
i work in an office building with about 100-200 employees at any given time. there is a high turnover rate. we have had issues with disgruntled employees before.
what would be the best course of action in the event of an active shooter? there's not many places to hide, as all the office walls are glass windows and the actual office is a large room with low cubicles.
there are 2 main entrances that are id badge entries, but most people disregard the security policies and just let people in or leave the doors ajar. there's also 2 fire exits on the floor.
should we throw fire extinguishers and make loud noises like all the gun free zone posters suggest, or is there a better way to neutralize the threat?
