some faggot fox has been killing my chickens and I'm trying to figure out how to kill it. I've been considering two strategies. First is to try and trap it alive in one of those box traps (like havahart or whatever), have to use a live trap because we have cats and other small animals wandering around the yard. Anyone have any experience trapping foxes with those? Main drawback to this is the price, the trap would probably cost about $100
The second option is to shoot the fox, which would be more challenging. They mainly come out at night, and there's no guarantee I'll see it.
What are your strategies for shooting foxes?

As you mentioned, foxes are nocturnal so you'll only see it if your lucky or dedicated to staying up late with a red-lens spotlight.
The livetrap baited with a can of cat food will catch it, along with all kinds of other varmints. Make sure you get a decent sized box trap in case you catch something you aren't planning on. Caught my cocker spaniel one time. Poor girl was in there half the night.

No. You can leave it out in the open in your front yard and still catch stuff. Critters don't care, they are all gibsmedats cat food and walk right in.

What does /k/ think about sellier & bellot hp 9mm for cz 07 for self defense carry. I was about to buy them but heard that they leave unusually dirty residue in the gun. They are cheaoer than winchester though and the gun store praises them (Czech bullets for a Czech gun etc.). Anyone here use them?

Im a gun noob but have a question. If I steal a shotgun round from my friend and use it to kill myself, will he face any repercussions? He has a FOID card and bought everything legally. I already took a shotgun from my grandfather to use.

I believe you need some sort of CNC mill, though I'm curious as to the specific types.
I also understand the Magnetic Particle Inspectors have become pretty standard as a means of proactive quality control.

Im debating getting body armor but the ar500 shit is waaaay too heavy. I have researched and found spartan body armor. Level 3 and 4 is relatively lightweight, even with front, back, and side plates.
Question is this. Is there any other armor out there thats comparable thats lighter?
I live in Alaska so Wet weather i would assume degrades soft armor faster. Looking for hard plate inserts to keep me safe from common rifle rounds and as light as possible.

I've always felt the opposite. I shoot AR-style PGO shotguns a lot, including a SBS 8.5".
The only ammo that stings is 2oz 3" turkey magnum loads, no slug or buck in any amount goes near it. That load has recoil energy of a 458 Lott so shooting it one handed is an interesting experience and I do feel the good pain after a box of ten shells, unlike any other shotgun shell load.
A raptor/bird's head grip though? Fuck that in any load. I dislike it a lot.
