Assuming you found yourself in a similar situation to Kyle Reese in the first movie, what would you arm yourself with to defend against a Terminator?

I have a WASR and will be stocking up on 7.62 that I plan on keeping for a SHTF scenario, maybe 5k rounds or more. I love shooting my AK, but we reload .223 for our AR and it's so much easier to find. I'm considering buying or building an AK rifle in .556 to be able to practice more. I don't want to do 5.45 for the same reason of availability in the future as well as cost and reloading options as 7.62. Can any /k/omrads point me in the right direction to a reliable and reasonably priced rifle that will fit the bill? Anybody have one chambered in this round and can give some input?

If you live in the states and you're serious about SHTF then you own an AR. Plain and simple.

dude its 5.45, the slavic 5.56. Where it hits at 25 is about where it hits out to 200 meters or so.

Any advice to give on air travel with weapons, besides don't do it? Any things I should definitely keep my eyes open for and make sure the concierge ladies provide me with?

I am travelling from California to Colorado, and back. My rifle is California legal, but it looks pretty scary. I'm not worried about leaving California, but coming back, will I run into trouble?

How do you deal with idiots after they buy a gun from you?

If selling a gun wasn't that hard enough already, now I got the idiot who bought it complaining because he doesn't know how to put it back and later on how the magazine falls off. The problem is that they got your number and know people who knows you.

I make people sign bills of sale that clearly state they should inspect the firearm to their liking before purchasing and that everything is sold as is.

Step 1: Murder them
Step 2: Get your gun back
Step 3: ??????
Step 4: Profit

Teach me about the different AK variants. Like, what's the difference between an AKM, a 47, a 74, ect. I honestly have no clue what the separates them. What are the most common ones private citizens own? If I wanted to get one, which should I get?

AK-47: first ak, 7.62x39

AKM: upgraded AK-47, most common AK variant worldwide. Still 7.62x39

AK-74 series: AK chambered in 5.45x39, current Russian infantry weapon. Smaller bullet, lighter recoil and longer range

Most people in america own AKM or AK-74 semi auto variants. The AKM 7.62x39 is more common than 5.45x39 74 variants in America. I'd recommend an AKM type 7.62 as a first AK, ammo and mags are easier to find.

So the only difference is the cartridge? That doesn't sound right.

How likely is a human being to survive a bullet to the skull?
What are some key factors that come into play?
Any experiences of being shot in the head?
What are the parameters for your inquiry? Are we talking a specific scenario? Without clarification the answer is "yes, yes with functional changes, maybe and no".
>>
>>29219713
Semi likely My father survived it
>>
Usually when someone survives a "shot to the head" it's a bullet fragment or ricochet, or the bullet passed through an obstacle or came from an extreme distance, so that it lost most of its velocity first. People rarely survive direct bullet impacts to the bare skull. It's possible for the bullet to miss critical parts of the brain and lodge itself somewhere relatively inert, but even then it's usually a pistol round that lost a great deal of velocity first.
