Hey /k/, I've got a question.
I was diagnosed with depression at the age of 8.
Then, when I was around 10, my school thought it would be a good idea to send me to a mental hospital.
Long story short, I wanna join the military and also buy a gun. What are my chances?
Assuming US, it's all dependent on what you want to do, who knows about your past, and if you tell them.
The biggest question though is if all that applies now. Are you still taking pills/seeing a psychologist? If not, when did it stop?
Keep min mind some military jobs have extensive background checks, including interviews with people who know you- is this common knowledge about you?
Why not create your own military instead?

I can't seem to get these to work right in my Yugo SKS. I have trimmed the mag to look just like the internal. Just jams. Jams with the untrimmed mag too. Anyone have this issue?

My Yugo would ram the bullet into the 4-to-8 o'clock area under the chamber. I had to sand out the magwell so that it didn't pinch the mag, and file the inside of the feed lips at an angle such that the rounds pointed up at the chamber. Before that, the rounds pointed straight for the 4-to-8 area.
I'm trying to track down a pic I saw in a forum which illustrated the issue...

My trigger group falls out when I rack the charging handle but only when it's on safe, and I looked at the retention spring and it looks like it's been sheared or somthing, could this be causing it?

He seems like he knows what he's doing even though he's lost his mind so I guess
So, I bought a surplus G3 collapsible a few years ago. and I've been having issues with it. not all the time but sometimes when collapsing the stock it'll bind half way and I have to to smack it real hard to then it snaps free and works like it's supposed to. The stock looks like it has very little wear on it and even the recoil pad looks brand new.
I was wondering if anyone else on here as had the same issue of the stock binding and if they were able to get it fixed?

maybe, in order to install the stock I have to do it with the stock in the closed position in order to spread the bars a little. It doesn't bind every time though. Sometimes it will and sometimes it'll move like it should. I would figure if the bars were bent it would do it every time.

Polish guy here, soon enough i'm gonna have my weapons permit. In the army I had an AKM which pretty much sucked, unbalanced - front is way too heavy, 7,62x39 not really accurate and kicks like a horse.
So I've decided to spend more money and buy an AR, but their offer is pretty much limited to few manufacturers in Poland like S&W, Stag Arms, Mossberg, Schmeisser, DPMS
I'm willing to spend on it like 1200 bucks/euro. Which one would be the best when it comes down to reliability and used materials?
