So did his wife kick him out of his house? He is literally living in a van.

Ok, /k/, how do we weaponize the rape van?

Did you watch the video?
Tactical molester vans, setup to be as low profile as possible to travel the country gear checking every person possible is the way to go. Cheap to live in, very easy transportation of successful double owls whom wana see the inside of a fanny pack.
52 year old retired chairforce pilot driving an astro van is already weaponized enough

If it is so great.......

then why didn't even 1 single country buy the Silent Eagle?
>>
>>29512585
not needed strike eagle is good as is and stealth is very expensive to maintain ad is more of a specialty item.
>>
>>29512604

But that means that the F-15 is at a dead end now. There is nowhere else for them to go.

Riot gear/tactics general.

Helmets, body armor, shields, batons, crowd control agents, crowd control tactics, protester tactics, and everything else. What's common for LEOs? What's common for protesters? What are you favorite clever /diy/ rigs or lulzworthy getups? Why do your local LARPers operate in a more efficient shield wall than your local riot cops?

Interesting thread.

Most countries in Europe see riots every few weeks, especially Germany, Italy and France. Football hooligans, gangs, migrants, political riots.

Germany actually is the leading force in EuroPol project when it comes to crowd/riot control.

There's police SF units in every German state, called BFE. Their job is to seek and catch rioters, with evidence to prosecute them afterwards. Their actions are "full contact combat" with batons and mace.

Italy and France see longer and more intense riots, as their riot control tactics are "disband and push" - they mostly shoot rubber bullets and tear gas at the crowds.
>>
A guy with a medieval shield and helmet fighting the riot cops. That's pretty fucking great.
>>
>>29512446

German riot cops also don't use shields for that reason in most situations, but body armour to stay flexible.

I took a female friend shooting for the first time the other day. She did pretty well, and then near the end of our day I was showing her some empty shell casings of various sizes that we found on the ground.

>So, wait a second Anon. If this one is .45, why is this one called .380? Why don't they just call it .38?
>because .38 is a different cartridge
>OK, but if you can just call them whatever you want, then why do they use the numbers at all?

Well, /k/?

i do this with my guy friends
its more fun when roles are switched

also it is diameter of the bullet in inches or mm
>>
>>29512262
She's right it's stupid.

There are a few different actual barrel/chamber diameters, sometimes a few in the same category, but they basically break down to either .22 cal, .30 cal, .38 cal, .40 cal, .45 cal, or .50 cal and the number in either inches or mm is just part of the name.

There are some excdeptions, such as 6.8 spc which is like .28 cal and 6.5 which is .26 cal, those are relatively correct, but like .44 magnum is closer to .43

“I also think there are prices too high to pay to save the United States. Conscription is one of them. Conscription is slavery, and I don't think that any people or nation has a right to save itself at the price of slavery for anyone, no matter what name it is called. We have had the draft for twenty years now; I think this is shameful. If a country can't save itself through the volunteer service of its own free people, then I say: Let the damned thing go down the drain!”

Not sure if this is the right place for this, but considering that I'm more interested in the science than the fiction part of the weapon type in question, I hope this thread will give some constructive answers.

So, how possible are directed energy weapons that project lightning in the vein of Lightning Gun from Matrix? How would such a weapon direct it's discharge to a target of your choice? Would it even be possible to have more than a few charges considering the power requirements a device like this would need? Were there any real attempts to use lightning as a weapon? Are there any ongoing researches on this subject today?

>>
>>29512053
We dont have the battery technology. So you would need a really long cord.
>>
>>29512053
I'll talk about aiming the damn thing

That lightning won't go where you need it unless it has some guide wires, like a tazer, otherwise it's gonna prefer metal all around you
>>
>>29512053

Just use a gun.

This is like asking if we can weaponize cheese. Guns already kill people, there's no reason to try and weaponize an extremely weak force to be just as good as something we've already been using for hundreds of years.

So I'm in a bit of dilemma.

>11 years old
>grandfather has an old shotgun from new york
>shared his interest in guns with me, talked about them a lot and showed me how to use them
>says I can have it when I'm old enough
>passes away
>uncle and aunt in-law HATE GUNS. Takes the shotgun for safekeeping
>tell me they already sold it, heartbroken
>12 years later
>they're moving to a smaller house
>I notice the shotgun is in the back of the car they're using to move stuff
>I demand it back
>they quote media statistics and say that I'll kill myself because of that
>argument ensues and during the argument, my aunt slips out and drives away with the gun
>now the gun is at their new house and they're currently trying to get rid of it

What is my recourse for getting it back, if possible? The gun was bought in new york as far as I know, but I don't have any paperwork that my grandfather left me.

I'm thinking this will be a civil matter but other than word of mouth, I have no idea how I can get it back, whether it be through police or discussion, which is unlikely as my aunt is a die-hard liberal who hates guns with an ever loving passion.

Give, unless you have something in writing you have no chance legally.
>>
>>29512063
Give? As in give up? I really don't want to but the odds do looked stacked against me. Can I report it as stolen? The gun's original residence was my house, as I lived with my grandfather if that helps.
>>
You say they are trying to get rid of it. If they post it publicly for sale anywhere, have a friend go buy it for you. A couple hundred bucks is worth not having to go through this shit with shitty family members, trust me. If you totally drop it with them, there's no way they'd suspect what's going on.

Do your parents have any sway with them/a non anti mindset?

I feel for you OP, "family" that is willing to fuck you over never feels good.

Shoot/Don't Shoot

Post the timestamp of when you believe you would utilize deadly force to neutralize the target.

Discuss this event and the circumstances behind the utilization of the the officer's handgun.

Discuss if non-lethal options would have been appropriate.

Discuss what kind of handgun the officer was carrying and assume what kind of ammunition was loaded in it.

Floridian newfriend in terms of exercising my 2nd amendment, I've always wanted to but haven't felt the need, now I'm bored and feel like getting it out of the way.

However, it's sort of hard to figure out how to go about this(I've spent an hour on google and can't make heads or tails, a lot of websites say different shit). Do you get the license first, then are able to take classes? or do you take classes THEN get the license?

What makes a sniper rifle a sniper rifle? Are the barrels made to handle more rounds than a regular hunting rifle? You're usually using hunting rounds anyway. 5.56-7.62 and the occasional longer range rounds.

I feel like there's not really a difference, a long range rifle is a long range rifle and if it's used by the military it's just a rifle used by a trained sniper.

Prove me wrong /k/ I wanna know.

A sniper rifle is a rifle in the hands of a sniper.
A certain Finn used a nugget with iron sights.
Some jarhead mounted an optic on a m2.
And, of course, plenty of very skilled snipers have used custom built rifles built on both manual and autoloading actions.

Be aware while researching the subject that different countries define snipers differently.
>>
>>29511758

It's just a term to denote a rifle that a sniper would use.

There are certain qualities that are attractive/useful to a sniper, such as a powerful scope, or a long barrel. Rifles with those qualities are sniper rifles.

It's like asking what a "family car" is. It's a car with features that a family would find useful, like four doors and a big trunk...

For the same reason practically nobody uses them in real life: they're dangerous, they can't carry shit, and they're loud as fuck.
