The crew of a U.S. Navy ship stopped a massive Iranian arms shipment dead in its tracks, seizing thousands of weapons, AK-47 rifles and rocket-propelled grenade launchers that likely were headed to Yemen, the Pentagon announced Monday.
The seizure, which unfolded in the Arabian Sea on March 28, was the third of its kind in recent weeks, military officials say. Iran has been supporting Houthi rebels in Yemen in their proxy war against a Saudi-led coalition backed by the United States. Like Iran, the Houthis are a Shia-led group.

What made 12 gauge the dominant bore size? Why is it so common accepted, and why are 20 gauge and .410 the only others to really get any recognition? I remember 16 gauge being up there for a bit but fading into obscurity.
Why don't larger bores get any attention? I know 10 gauge is used by a few hunters but it's pretty rare, and what about things like 8 gauge or 4 gauges? You'd think people would eat those ridiculously large rounds up like they do whenever pistols or rifles come out in fuckhuge calibers.

Yea it's in the realm of fantasy but realistically these civilisations had millennia to prepare for a war they knew was coming because wizards wouldn't get off their back so it's not far out of question.

See the towers beneath the rocks and below the main tower? Rather rounded and normal looking structures with crennelations instead of iron crowns. Those would have been built back when Sauron was pretending to be a friend of elves and man.
