A subsonic .22 out of a bolt action with a silencer fitted should make pretty much no noise right?
17 posts and 1 images submitted.
>>
>>29515520
makes a loud snap when it hits its target and not completely silent either unless you have 100% of the gasses captured out of the barrel. Still pretty quiet
>>
>>29515520
Should be around 80 db
>>
Not totally quiet, but the bullet impact and working the action will both be louder than the gun firing.

For a 30 year old gun? Good luck. Might be some old police holsters or something.

Safariland level 1 or 2.

Can't recommend one, but I've bought a couple at Hosterama and been very happy with all of them. Even the lower priced ones.

I handled one and for the price they seem pretty good. Reviews say they're solid and accuracy is what you'd expect for the price. Good trigger, good feel, but I'd honestly spend a little more and get something more accurate.

>unAmerican

So what is American? The Ruger American or some 1911 is the only American thing you'll find. Everything else is made off-shore.

Alright /k/ I have $600 dollars to spend on guns. I can either spend this money fixing my competition rifle that I don't really shoot anymore or buy a fun gun to plink and go innawoods with. I would like to buy another rifle. Besides a Mosin, which I already have, what would you suggest?

So, K
Wife has a Mossberg Maverick 88
SHe was watching me fuck around and upgrade my Ak and wants me to do something similar with her mossberg.
Sadly i don't really know shit about shotguns and so i had a few questions.
1) whats the difference between a Maverick 88 and a 500?
2) mandatory upgrades? i know the bullpup conversion kit is a bit overkill and gives you the typical bullpup problems. but what would i need for overhaul her shotgun?

1 safety location, and how the forend is attached. you need to replace the whole assembly if you want to change furniture.
2 dont. upgrading budget guns is stupid. you end up sinking money into something where the base is still mediocre. if she wants to play barbie buy her an ar

There are a couple of cheap accessories he could get to improve it. Like a shell holder mounted on the side of the receiver or maybe a RDS?

>>

Probably not.
Pythons are expensive because genuinely, they were very expensive to make.

The Rhino is not even close to as well made as the Python, and I'm not saying this to shit on the Rhino (though I have seen a few shoddy Rhinos)

this
they're impractical in all aspects, and popular only because they're so iconic in movies and games.
if and when sales drop enough the gun gets phased out. twenty years later the slowly increasing demand finally overtakes the slowly diminishing used market supply and boom: super inflated prices.

For every bad bait post about the mud test with the ak and ar, here's a video showing what a true AK can do in terms of reliability.

Yup. It can shoot itself to death when it's held at chest level and not dropped into the mud or dry sand. Good job proving ARfags point.

This

The ARs even won the meltdown test by eric against the AKs and eric had to use 2 AKs because the WASR fell apart at about 200 rounds.

I LOVE AKs, I think they are aesthetic as shit and would probably stand up in sand/dirt testing against the AR.

But the AR is going to keep more shit out of itself.
>>
the wasr was worth probably worth 500 dollars, the ar 15 about 2000. Its like making a test taste about which fruit test better a year old apple or a freshly new banana

I found a new PT 92 like pic related for $390. I'd really like to have a full size 9mm for the range and HD. I loved the way it felt and magazines don't seem to be really expensive. I know it was made on Beretta machinery and seems to have a good reputation.

Anyone have one that's had problems? Should I save up for the Beretta? It's a hell of a price difference.

They are made on Beretta tooling in Brazil. The gun will be more rough around the edges (less time goes into de burring and QC inspection) but aside from the frame mounted saftey, it is for all intensive purposes a 92FS.

Me personally, I want one of those WC 92G compacts.

How do guerrilla units win if they don't have the brute big force to capture enemy forts/camps ?

i mean how do you win a war just sabotaging a tank and killing a couple of sentries once a time?
How can you liberate a country if you don't have enough force to drive the enemy army out of the country?

Alright /k/ 2016 is the year of the habbening. I need a pistol, a rifle, loads of ammo, and a good knife. I was thinking 9mm for the sidearm, I have no idea what I should do for a rifle since .223 is probably gonna be dried up and those rifles are expensive, need suggestions. What's your price range? What do you want to do with it? Put some extra money aside for a small multi-tool or swiss army type knife. It will be useful for tasks that are a hassle with your bigger knife, and in day-to-day tasks.

What are some /k/ related things you do that are just kind of odd? Not necessarily as wild as shoving a mosin bolt up your ass or fleshlight on your Sig Brace anything, just stuff that people would look at you and say "huh. That's kind of weird."

I'll start
>I sometimes refer to semi-automatic handguns as "autos" like an old man. It just sounds cooler to me.

Also
>when I play first person shooters I like to only use guns that are similar to what I actually own. I even go as far as taking off useful modifications in game to make it as close as possible

You guys do anything like these? Or is it just fucking your guns?

I masturbate every single day and I literally can't stop even though I can only feel pressure now on my penis and no more feeling the nerves on my penis and as well can only cum very little.

Stone Greaser.jpg
88KB, 859x930px
So, what kind of weapons would you associate with the stone greasers of the 50's and 60's? I ain't talking about Danny Zuko or The Fonz, but actual hardcore stone-to-the-bone greasers from the mid-to-late 20th Century. We're talking gangs like the Simon City Royals and the Chicago Gaylords, not to mention individual hoodlums.

I'd imagine you'd see the stereotypical switchblade or pocket knife, as switchblades were extremely popular, cheap, and 100% legal in all fifty states during the 1950's and 1960's. In fact, the various state bans and restrictions on switchblades was to curb gang violence, fun fact.

But what other weapons would you associate with greasers? Knives are a must, obviously. I'd imagine baseball bats and improvised weapons like steel pipes and brass knuckles. As for guns, pistols would be the most common like the Colt M1911 and various .38 caliber revolvers (especially the cheap Saturday Night Specials).

Long arms? I really don't see it, except maybe for a cheap shotgun here and there.

So, tell me, what kind of era appropriate weapons would you carry? The era timeline being 1950-1979.

Some period appropriate music....

If you're talking about street fights, chains, pieces of lumber and pic related are the most common melee weapons in most street/urban conflicts.
