Howdy...
Anyone own or have any experience with knives or any other edged weapons that have been forged from a meteorite?
http://www.strangehistory.net/2014/07/20/meteorite-weapons/
Especially interested in kris.
Pic related,
Especially.especially interested in any information regarding the Prambanan Meteorite (1797) it fell very close to where I am currently living
>>29767934
Meteorites are fucking expensive so there's probably only a few blades out there
>>29767934
Man at arms on YouTube crafted a meteorite sword ( sakas sword from avatar) awhile ago but they had to mix in regular metal so it can be made properly
>>29767973
This.
Meteor blades are cool, but essentially worthless from a utilitarian standpoint. Modern metallurgy is just too good and we know a lot about steel
If you could choose one gun to disappear of the face of the earth forever what would it be?
Whatever ones you own

GLOCK
Personal preferences aside, is there anything wrong with using an A2 front sight gas block on an AR-15? Does it affect accuracy more negatively than low profile gas blocks? Does it increase the chance of barrel damage if something strikes it hard enough?
>>29767647
Nope
>>29767647
Nope. Use what you want, they're all good. But A2 wins in the aesthetics category.
>>29767647
The only reason people don't like them is because they minorly block your view with optics. Some people swear that you can't notice it with a 4x scope, but I fucking noticed it every time. Not the biggest problem in the world, but I prefer not to deal with it.
If you don't mind, then no, nothing wrong with fixed front sights.
What does /k/ think of the FN Five-seven and of 5.7mm ammo in general?
I've heard some mixed things at my local gun club (one fudd who says it's fancy .22 ammo and he'll keep his .45 ACP thank-you-very-much, and another guy who says the Secret Service uses it so it must be the best).
Is it particularly good? Is it not really any better than other handguns and ammo types?
>>29767329
If you work for the secret service sure. As a civvy it's a pointless overpriced pea shooter.
If you like csgo and want it just buy it and stop making topics
>>29767402
Shut up, nogunz.
If you were a gun, what would you be and why?
nugget
>used goods
92fs
>too thick
>small where it counts (9mm)
>enjoys French food
Chaucat because I'm worthless broken piece of shit
I put a Vortex Sparc 2 read dot on one of my AR15s. I got its for $99.99 with my military discount. I'm going to use it for a home defense gun.
What optics do you use for home defense /k/?
Here's down the sight.
I too use a sparc II for my ar. But for home defense I just have a sigsp2022 in 9mm.
>>29767233
How do you like the Sparc II? I had a hard time sighting it in because it was so far off when I got it.
Alright /k/ the time is nigh i just came to america and i want to buy an ak, whats a good variant under 800$?
How's thw c39v2?
>>29767208
Better than the RAS47. Avoid it and the IO AKs like the plague. I recommend the WASR, Arsenal, MAK90, Vepr, or Saiga.
>>29767208
>under $800
get a WASR
>>29767208
Go watch AK Operators Union. They run AKs and do review.

Do you think it is a worthwhile endevour to mass reload ammo and sell it. I plan on getting all the necessary equipment to begin loading 9mm, 5.56, and .308. Where I live I can get barrels and barrels full of spent shell casings. I plan to start reloading and packaging the ammo is vacuum sealed bags, in quantities of 100. Basically I'm asking if anyone thinks this is a worthwhile idea, or is it not enough reward for the amount of work out in.
Also general ammo reloading operation thread
unless you somehow automate it. no
your time spend pulling the lever wont be worth it
>>29767206
unless you value your time at $5 an hour, no
>>29767206
most people wont buy homebrew reloads for good reason
Hey /k/ I'm looking at galil I'm just wondering which oneshould I get the arm,sar or micro variants?
>>29766817
Where do you plan on buying any of those?
>>29766822

"America could learn a lesson from AUS."
Lolfuckno. With the HUGE gangs here you're literally just carving up free territory for them.
Also BB guns are banned in AUSland? that's stupid.

what does working mean?
working as in it's working to disarm the law abiding civilians and make them extremely vulnerable to criminal elements AND future government abuses?
yes australian gun control works beautifully in this regard.
Crime with guns? up
violent crime? up
guns in the hands of criminals? the same.

Why don't you own a sword Anon? Swords beat guns in melee.

America made a countermeasure. Pretty effective too. Plus ours has 8 long range shots of 7.62.
Why do we still use tracks? Aren't they hugely outdated? It's basically ww1 era
>>29766292
Nah wheels are outdated, they're also a meme.
>>29766292
Helms are bronze age tech and we still use them. Old does not meant outdated, and recent tech can be obsolete as well.
