What would be a situation, time or place in which an HK 45C or 45CT would be the ideal carry weapon?

The gun seems to have a cult-like following, but I can't help but notice that it only has a capacity of 8+1, and is as big as a Glock 19. Yet, this thing, along with an equally perplexing choice, the Sig P239, is used by Seal Team Six.

Why not both, senpai?

I carry an hk45c and a p239 depending.

Hk45c LEM is god tier for fast target shooting plus you can carry with the extendo...I do. 11 o'clock cross draw appendix. The mag just sits in like with the waist and its invisible.

P239 is just high class. St6 carries the 239 as a back up gun with the hk45c though I think, not either or.

Picking between the two is just a win-win

Is the seal 239 a 9mm?
>>
>>29819413
It is a pretty compact, suppressor ready pistol that is reliable, unlike commander sized 1911s. There are 10 round magazines that are as reliable as the 8 rounders, also unlike the 1911
Capacity is not that big of an issue for SEALs since it is a secondary weapon.
.45 tends to suppress better than 9mm

Does anyone own a G43 rifle or fired one before? If so, can you tell me more about it?

I have an AR15 and 1911, but I really want to satisfy my inner wehraboo. I am prepared to shell out the cash for one I can shoot regularly. Most of the G43s I've seen online are ~$2500+. Is it worth the money?

Yeah you don't want to do that. These are rare and valuable as it is and they have been known to have parts breaking. That already sets the stage for losing money. These are best as safe queens and an occasional trip to the range. If you grab one under $2k in good condition you are lucky.

Here's some advice,

GO BUY A DECENT LOOKING BOOK AND READ IT INSTEAD OF ASKING FOR ADVICE ON AN ANIME BOARD.
For Christ sake, you're a fucking Marine now. Leave this stupid shit behind for a couple years. The advice is literally, "Just show up and they will give you advice on everything you do for the entire time, so you don't need mine."

It's a great relief from bootcamp.
You'll do around 4 hikes, the last one being a 20k.
Don't be a fucking retard and you'll get liberty every weekend.
For the most part, the combat instructors will treat you like a human being so long as you're not an idiot.

So /k/, I just started a new job, and I noticed on my first day that EVERY employee was open carrying. I don't own any guns. Should I be concerned? Why would they be carrying if it wasn't a dangerous place?

>When I find out that a male over 60 never served in Vietnam my mind leaps to "draft dodger" and I lose at least a little bit of respect for them, particularly if they had deferments

Is it normal to feel this way?
141 posts and 18 images submitted.
>>
>>29818970
No. There were plenty of people who were of military age who weren't drafted for whatever reason. You're probably just some shitheel who thinks in black and white. It's a rather simplistic mindset really.
>>
>>29818970
It's pretty judgemental.

A lot of people got drafted sure, but a lot of others didn't.
>>
>>29818992
>>29818998

I'm aware that some people had medical deferments, or their draft number simply came up, but that's not the first thing my mind jumps to.

Gun enthusiasts come from many backgrounds and walks of life, meaning some will be the "don't tread on me type" anti-government type and some will be liberals, some will be military boots, others will have an interest in being cops/agents. There's more threads entertaining the idea of cops being gun grabbing door kickers than threads about being cops and L.E.

SKS Thread

Here is my rig. I didn't want to fuck with it too much like you see bubbas do trying to make an AK out of it.

It came with an aftermarket apeture sight that does wonders for it's accuracy compared to one's I've shot with standard rear sights. It also came with an aftermarket walnut stock with no spring-loaded butt cleaning kit.

I picked up an HS butt pouch which stores the cleaning kit- not as compact as the original issue but probably superior in terms of what's in it. It also keeps an extra 5 rounds.

On the other side is an ALICE ammo pouch clipped into the strap loop on the butt. I managed to squeeze 4 clips into it. So when loaded the rig carries a good cleaning kit and 55 rounds of ammo in and on the fun ready to go. Its heavy but nothing I can't deal with.

Shouldda got the a2

Hi, /k/.

I legally purchased this Orion Flare Gun and legally purchased this Short Lane RIFLED 12ga to 22lr adapter insert. This weapon is legal for me to own in the US and my local jurisdiction.

I'm going to fire 22lr+P out of it tomorrow. It's not going to hurt me, right? I'm assuming to 12ga light load flares have more powder than 22lr does. Am I wrong? Will I break the gun?

Basically, if anyone knows how much boom the Orion 12ga flares make vs standard 22lr ammunition, I would love to know.

Thanks!

Make sure to only fire it using the hand that you don't wank with.
