B. Based, and owns like 30, but due to the nature of his job, he's on a boat 4-5 months out of the year being an engineer.
The rest are either no gunz, liberals, or wants gunz but too pussy to buy/think Ohio need a permit to own gunz....seriously, when it gets brought up in convo, I get asked multiple times how I bought guns, or how hard was it to get a permit....its aggravating. Anyone else deal with this?

Like so many before you, Silent Hill beckons you, and it's a summons you simply cannot refuse.
Unlike so many before you, however, you had enough sense to bring a gun, along with as much ammo as you can carry.
What gun do you bring?
Things to keep in mind: the monsters of Silent Hill are inhumanly tough, and as such can survive being shot repeatedly. On top of that, they have a worrying tendency to feign death. Additionally, you have no idea how long you'll be there and how many freaks you'll have to put down. It would be a real shame for your journey to be cut short, all because you ran out of bullets and were mauled by twitching abominations literally pulled straight from your own nightmares.
Personally, I'm thinking either a large bore hunting rifle, like a 45-70, or a 12 gauge just for versatility's sake. Buckshot for standard monsters, and slugs for when something really nasty inevitably decides to make an appearance.

Ok so I've been playing assassins creed 2 and the point in it seems to be teaching the main character how to fight by learning from his ancestor.
My question is, would fighting skills from Renaissance Italy actually hold any weight in a modern setting. Where engagements are generally at a greater distance due to firearms over swords.

I'm not so much thinking the sables and cutlass more the physical hand to hand combat and what not
So I'm planning about getting a gun. But the law here limits that I should only have a .22LR gun. Other calibers are banned.
Which .22LR Rifles/Pistols would /k/ suggest for a beginner? Fuck that, maybe give me something that works best in terms of reliability stopping power, precision, and accuracy. Recoil control can be ignored, coz from what I've seen .22LRs don't have much kick.
Or should I even avoid any .22LR?

.22lr has no kick whatsoever.
If you're looking at a gun for defense, then you'd be better off with .22 mag, but if even that's banned, then you first have to recognize that .22lr CAN be used for defense, but you have to know what you're doing. It doesn't have the stopping power of .357 or even a +p38, so you'll want something that will put out a lot of bullets since one likely won't get the job done. I'd personally recommend a Walther p22, as its reliable, and if you're going to use 22lr for defense, you want something that you can shoot rapidly and reliably.
If this is for small game hunting, then there are any number of reliable 22 rifles that you can choose from. Just look at your price range and find something reliable from within it. The Ruger 10/22 is pretty well-loved.
Either of these options are also great for plinking, and while there are plenty of options out there, these two I've listed should at least give you something to think about.
