Can we agree WWII had the most stylish weapons, outfit and gear?
Such as?
>>29811460
No, Vietnam.
>>29811469
There's something specifically about the uniforms, the solid color and naturally more low level of tactical gear that do the trick. I think any randomly picked outfit looks neater than majority of the outfits modern soldiers wear.
>>29811494
Vietnam is fine too but it has different kind of charm.
Can anyone tell me where can i buy a destroyer ship legally? Where I can check for prices, not that government auction bullshit.
In Switzerland you could own one.
Have fun driving it around on the lake Constance
Most places won't sell unless to sovereign nations.
Best bet? Get really rich, buy citizenship for Sealand, then buy your destroyer from the french or maybe the Argentinian, just tell them you plan to shell the british coast and they'll more than likely sell it to you at a discount
The real problem would be crewing it.
You could get Navy vets but they'd probably be old and there wouldn't be all that many that would be willing to sail in a 1 ship fleet.
You could try contracting from Merchant Navies, and teach them how to operate...

In Russia. They sold carrier for casino once.
I was just curious if the m60 102s or any of the other more recent upgrade packages for the M60 are used by any of the US military branches.
The m60 120s is basically an upgrade kit that makes m60 comparable to the m1a1.
The last M60, which was being used for vehicle training, went out of service 11 years ago.
>>29811214
It's comparable because it is one.
>>29811214
It's am m1's turret on an upgraded m60 hull but it wasn't a cost effective solution so no one bought it. So yeah. The most recent upgrade used by any country is probably the Turks using the sabra.
Why are steel rifle magazines always corrugated? Would it not be simpler to make a metal box without corrugations? Is it a matter of increasing structural integrity?
>>29810905
when you conjugate the magazine it makes it harder to make run off from the bullet. it holds them tighter in it while it still is flawless and has a great grip or "feel" to it. it worked fine on the 20 rounders and then they put it on a 30 to make it grip easier. i am not a robot
>>29810905
OUNCES TO POUNDS
POUNDS TO PAIN
it gives the magazine a higher level of rigidity, same concept as the reinforcing ribs on top of the AKM dust cover.
I heard that chinese AK mags didn't have them at first, and this caused malfunctions when conscripts fired gripping the mag with stress-induced strength, but I couldn't vouch for that being true.

Fucking GOAT place
>>29810827
I live in Bergen county, that place is 1hr 20min away. Know of any places in North Jersey?
>>29810827
I used to live fairly close to that place. The prices are fucking ridiculous compared to my LGS in NC.
>>29811386
From what I remember, there is a place called Gun for hire (rents guns as well). This place gets packed on weekends.not too far from the willowbrook mall.
RTSP is another range in Randolph,
Hello /k/, here from /o/, please excuse lack of terminology, I have literal, on spectrum autistic level of obsession with cars.
I was seeing if the CZ-83 .380 would be a good buy for a first pistol and personal protection, as well as open and concealed carry.
I live in texas so it's like a free for all here.
My apartments are starting to get a little, let's say, trashy and money is low at the moment.
I'd love to spend $600 to 750 on an ugly ass Walther p99c that I adore.
Is a $200-300 CZ a good buy?
Could I find it in any military...

Nothing dramatically wrong with anything in OP. If you can, try the gun out before buying to see if the mag works flawlessly, locks in properly etc. With a short 380 reliability is really your only concern, no worries about accuracy or trigger pull. If it's new, you're in the clear, just make sure to maintain it. If it's not, maintain it anyway.
>>29810767
>I have literal, on spectrum autistic level of obsession with cars.
Literally get a Kahr. The owner likes cars so he literally named his company Kahr.
And yes, they do make .380's.
>>29810767
>I have literal, on spectrum autistic level of obsession with cars
>My apartments are starting to get a little, let's say, trashy and money is low at the moment.
How are you short on money if you have multiple apartments?
I would look for a smaller frame if I were set on .380 but otherwise the 83 should be a solid choice.
Some of you guys are alright. Don't go to Georgia tomorrow.
Also, American Civil War thread! Post your best images and stories and questions about the American Civil War!
Fucking rebel scum need not enter.
>tfw related to the worst union general of the civil war
why should I even live
>>29810403
>We will never have another general as based as Sherman.
Why live?
Is it weird to sleep with a handgun?
I don't have PTSD I just like to feel safe.
>>29810339
>I don't have PTSD I just like to feel safe.
So its like sleeping with a teddy bear.
>>29810339
If you can fit your dick into the barrel, i guess you might as well.

Whatever helps ya sleep at night.
So, just watched season one of Okkupert.
Russians with the political support of the EU do a soft occupation of Norway, which turns violent.
The US has abandoned NATO and gone full isolationist, so Norway is all alone against Russia.
I thought it was going to be shit, but it was pretty damn great. And way more realistic than a lot of other "resistance fantasy" flicks.
>>29810308
Thanks for the tip. If I can find it, i'll definitely watch it.
>>29810469
I think Netflix has it in a lot of countries. Not sure about the US.
Just don't expect "Red Dawn; Europe edition". It's more of a political thriller than an action series.
Is this the one where a Scandinavian guy goes to smoke behind the restaurant his wife owns, starts up a conversation with a Russian who is also smoking, and the Russian thinks the Scandinavian guy is a spy?
I think I've seen like 15 minutes of this.
Are 2 or 3 gun competitions legal in Australia?
>>29810211
No I take it.
>>29810211
What eo you mean 2 or 3?
I've seen the SSAA guys do combo lever and revolver comps
>>29810320
3 gun is Rifle,Shotgun and Handgun
2 gun is Rifle/Shotgun and Handgun
>92 on ASVAB
>still picked infantry
JUST
whohere /wrongMOS/?
>did good in college
>didn't feel like it's right for me
>joined the army as enlisted
>they told me I could be an officer
>didn't listen
>>29810120
You poor, dumb bastard
ASVAB is like a test for kintergardners
None of the jobs really correlate with ASVAB scores. I met some of the dumbest motherfuckers in my 68W and now 68C (formerly M6 ASI) and it requires a "high" GT of 109
My WLC instructors were infantry, and some of the smartest guys I've ever met.
I guess none of this will make sense to OP yet
OP you didn't fuck up infantry or medic is the only thing worth doing if you're going to enlist desu

They might be practicing flight routes and comms. It's perfectly reasonable to train someone like this before you start spending so much money on the real deal.
At armor school at fort benning I learned how to maneuver with tanks and position yourself respective with the other tanks in your platoon by walking around in a box with the top and bottom cut off 3 other dudes
Statistics wise, what plane has been used more often in the CAS role, especially now with Coalition air support dealing with ISIS? I can't be the A-10 every time.
>>29809946
I think in desert storm and IOF/IAF it was the B1 and the f-16 respectively.
It was never the a10
>>29809946
The US has been supposedly bombing ISIS for over a year now.
Yet ISIS still exists.
Despite alleged non-stop bombing from a dozen different countries.
Hmmmmmm........
>>29809953
IOF/IAF ?
don't you mean OIF and OEF?
>>29809946
Used more often?
Probably F-16 initially
As far as most effective, Apache helicopter and A-10 by far.
Does an observation/scout Helicopter do anything besides get blown up?
Also why do anti-submarine Helicopters exist? Do they actually work?
Feels like leftover roles from the 80s.
How does this thing act as an anti-submarine tool?
Yes
They exist because jobs
>>29809861
Okay, because for the life of me I can't imagine any of this shit being useful in a real war. Especially cost wise compared to other options.
Beretta 92a1, any problems? I'm considering getting one and would like to ask /k/
For what? Range gun?
Go to side-arm, range fun
>>29809811
Nothing to complain about here. I use mine as my regular CC.
