I found the woman I want to spend the rest of my life with a long time ago, and now I'm ready to propose. Pic semi-related, bare with me here.

She likes guns, so I have this idea; I'm proposing with a ring, and a gun. I know for a fact she'll say yes because we've been talking about it for months now.

I already have a nice ring bought, but here's the idea about the gun; she loves 1911s. So I want to buy a nice one, and have it custom engraved, with the words "Till Death Do Us Part" engraved on the slide in fancy writing.

What does /k/ think? Is it a good idea? Would any female /k/ommandos say yes to that if their man proposed with that?

She's going to get all your guns in the divorce

Sounds creepy as fuck, like your gonna kill this bitch with the gun you bought her when she inevitably cheats on your gay ass.
Just make sure you kill Tyrone too.

Are you gonna shoot her with it when you get a divorce?

You going to carry those mags in your pockets or what

Looks fine. I would dump the steel mags and replace them with two 10-round plastic ones.

In real warfare and shitfan action, people lie in the fucking leaves a lot.

So I'm a fairly muscular, 220 lbs guy, and I'm gonna be buying my first self-loading rifle. This is actually gonna be my first firearm at all, since I gotta get a firearms license in this state to have guns. I'm gonna go with a short stroke piston since I'd like to get a rifle I can get decent follow up shots with.

There are three rifles I can get for a decent price range. Starting from the cheapest to the most expensive options are Vz 58 in 7.62x39, FN FAL in 7,62x51 and an FN-49 in .30-06

I believe I have a pretty good physical strength, but which one of these rifles is the best all things considered? How is the recoil for each cartridge- does it allow for easy follow up shots? Are the rifles good for prolonged training sessions? How accurate are they? Which one represents the best balance of power and recoil for someone like me?

Something chambered in 7.62x39 is good for a first gun, mostly because of how cheap the round is.
>>
>>29880597
are you in the US, do you have prior experience with weapons?
>>
>>29880597
Your physical strength wont matter much for dealing with recoil, but more so handling the rifle. All of your listed rifles are fantastic, i suggest the vz for cheapness of ammo

Is the Depleted Uranium armor on the Abrams real, or just a meme propaganda?
83 posts and 15 images submitted.
>>
Is that why sandpeople claim they have all those defects?

They might want to look into their massive incest rates first. M1A1 Abrams aren't that common and weren't responsible for more than 1% of all ammo spent in post-1990s conflicts.
>>
Are you asking if it works or if it exists?

The fact that you use the word "meme" to mean something fake means you're probably not too smart and don't know yourself.

I know, they say it exists. But no evidence of it defending against anything (videos)

i'm a girl and i want to buy a rifle.

i have some handguns, a shotgun my dad gave me and a 10/22 but i don't have a "real" rifle.

i just got a new job in chicago and i'll be making a lot of money but "assault weapons" are banned here.

what should i buy?
money isn't really an issue but under $2000 would be great :)

Go out side of Chicago and get a $600 AR

Hey, I was just issued my glock 17 for my job. I come from a nogunz family so I have limited experience with guns apart from what they trained me in the academy.

The gold dot ammunition is pricey for my wallet and I want to use cheaper ammo to practice. However I remember the range saying that certain types of ammo will mess up the gun. What ammo types or brands are good?

Pic related is my gun.
53 posts and 5 images submitted.
>>
No ammo types will mess up your gun. Get whatever is cheapest to practice with.

Make sure you put a mag or two of the gold dots through it at least once, though. They typically recoil a little more and it's good to be familiar with it.
>>
>>29879701
You don't use gold dots for practice negro. Use lawman because according to speer, it's the """"""""""""""""""""""""""training equivalent"""""""""""""""""""""""" to gold dots. PMC bronze, federal brass and as mentioned before lawman are good to go. Buy your shit in bulk and save more money.
>>
Jesus, you think they'd cover this shit at a police academy.

Just buy whatever the cheapest brass case ammo you can find for training. I like speer lawman 124 FMJs and I buy them usually at SGAmmo.com.

/k/ has its fair share of LEO, right?

What is the job like?

Mostly patrolling around and doing paperwork or handling small disputes?

Is it a fun enough job to make you not regret your career?

Thoughts from anyone in the academy now?

Bushmaster/Remington is what happened.

Masada was fine under Magpul. Then B/R came with the ACR.

A fucking shame really.
