Ordered a Sig MCX online. Never bought a gun this way before, and the seller asked me to fax him the FFL
I guess that's the license of the gun store I want him to send out to, right? Do I just go to the store and say "fax your ffl to this number!" to the guy behind the counter? Or would that be weird?
I just don't want to look like a dumbass. I've been doing so well to look competent so far.
Call the store you're shipping to. Tell them you'd like to have something shipped to them and ask if they'd fax/email their FFL. It's that simple.
I have literally never had this happen. And fucking fax? What year is it?

If you've never had this happen then you've either lucked out amd bought from online retailers that already had the FFL on file or you've never bought online.
And a lot of stores still use faxes.

Why? It takes a whole step out of the reloading process. If it's designed for military or competition use it would save a lot of time.

Is there a significant difference between 9x19 and 9x18 cartridges in real world applications? I know that the 9x19mm is a technically superior round but does that translate to real performance?

buy a modern gun if you want accuracy its hasn't been buttfucked by war and conscripts and will shoot ammo you can easily buy but prob Mauser's lockup in the front and well made for the most part

Only problem with K31s is getting ammo for it can be a pain in the ass, and you're going to be paying nearly 90c a shot, even when buying in bulk.

My most recent purchase was a M39 and the recoil kicks the shit out of me. How did these ppl shoot these for extended periods of combat? I mean I know their lives depended on it, but am I just being a pussy? Also I'm sure they wore more layers that helped cushion recoil.

You will usually get bonus points for extendo's. High points will be mistaken for glock 40's but if your looking to actually get respect a real glock will be better then a high point.
