As someone who is also looking at an SR9, I'm curious.
Didn't know they offered that frame color. Neat. God I love ruger, all those customer surveys, quick change AR barrels, one of 3 railed 1911s that aren't $1100.

Tikka T3 is your best bet for value, also look into Savage if your interested. I would personally stay away from Remington.
Optics i recommend Redfield. Basically just last gen Leupolds. Great all around 'basic' optic. Assuming 3x9 would be ideal for you but could vary depending on location
