What was the backup plan in case a B29 with a nuclear bomb was lost via interception or mechanical issues before delivering the bomb (especially if over water or some other place where the bomb might be intact enough to examine)? Attempt to recover it or blow it to all hell with depth charges or ignore it and hope the Japanese/Russians think it was just a badly planned recon mission? Or did they have other bombs on standby to complete the mission and hopefully distract the Japanese enough to not bother with plane wreckage since they have a vaporized town or two on their hands?

If it was over water, it would be irrelevant since nobody would know where it is.
If it was over land, it's still irrelevant as it would be found and recaptured in the inevitable invasion. That's assuming the nips didn't poke it enough to set it off.

well they had absolute air superiority at that point pretty much, very little thread from fighters. the gun type bomb they were confident would go off without testing, but the implosion bomb was tested first.
not sure what sort of plans were in effect if it was lost over the mainland. probably nothing they really could do except saturation bomb the best guess as to where it fell immediately. i know they but the primers for the bomb together in flight to the target because they were afraid if the b-29 crashed on the runway they might accidentally the air base.

Free farm scrap. Can't beat free for a 25 target setup at 400 yards that takes less than 30mins to set up.
It's basically drop rods with discs hung on them from the planter, or the thicker discs from heavier digging equipment I have in the center for an easier rough sight-in.
Next year's smaller planter discs are going to be a bit thicker than 1/8in, so I probably won't even be able to penetrate them with anything but 556 & large rifles even at 100 yards. 762 barely makes it through as-is, so very doubtful. But 556 even zips through my thick ones that 54r can't. Speed seems to be the main enemy of my steel.

I got a Sako and it was so shitty, dinged up and with 3 cracks. No bluing and lots of rust.
The rifle is mediocre and I would have been ok with if they had advertised it as FAIR-OK condition. These things are NOT Good-Very Good condition.
Also what the fuck how many of these do they have. I tried getting a Sako from the second batch and I was cartjacked like ten minutes after they went on sale and nearly had a heart attack. I would have been at ease if they announced that they had countless m39s.

It's a bummer they stamp the receivers nowadays with the import mark. I remember when the "import stamp" was a barely legible, sometimes not even that, little mark toward the end of the barrel. Pre-'68 didn't even need that.

it helps people get a higher grip, reduce effective bore axis, and lower muzzle flip. They're not putting pressure or touching the slide; just putting their thumbs somewhere.

Depends. In a full blown firefighter sniper teams can be used to huge effect as observers, not necessarily shooting people.

Less effective yet given a few seconds to find cover, can turn it around. Then again sand niggers will probably run away after the first few seconds of a firefight if they don't pick someone off.

Modern snipers are operating at such an extended range they should never be IN a firefight.
If you meant a Designated Marskman group, I'd wager they'd be more effective depending on what kind of suppressive/covering fire they had with them. Hard to line up at an accurate shot with a truck full of Hajji bearing down on you.

Already signed it ages ago. I was looking at the percentage of signatures by rates of gun owners in each country, as usual us Brits are apathetic cunts. We had one of the lowest turnouts, but then I suspect that some of it has to do with being more detached (or maybe thinking we are) from the EU and Europe that continental countries.
I think it's a pretty dirty trick that they pulled, using those attacks to try and launch this shit. But it's the oldest trick in the anti-gunner's book and it's worked for them before.
