Is there any advice you guys can give when it comes to making drawing cylindrical/spherical forms easier? Perspective wise? I'm getting slightly somewhere with cubes, but anything circular? Forget it, never comes out right
I need help with line art, every time i draw i sketch the piece out till i feel i should do the line art and once i finish i always feel that the sketches look way better. If anyone has suggestions or even the process they go about line art that would be awesome. Im also using Sai. (pic unrelated)
It's always infuriating when people make their own thread asking for advice and don't even provide an example of their work.
It's very hard to give you constructive advice besides "practice more" if we can't see what the hell you're doing wrong. What's your line weight like? How well are you showing form with your lines? Are they clean? Do they wobble? We don't know.
>>2543802 Yeah i had to reformat my computer recently so all my sai files are lost. I wouldnt say my lines wobble cuz i spend like a good 10 -15 mins trying to get a line to look good. I do generally have issues with weight cuz i dont really know where to make the lines thicker or thinner other than when they intersect.

Work with the theme and mood of the album, and make something that looks cool. That's it.
Look at say the cover for veckatimest, and look at the cover for purple rain. Both great covers, nothing in common. There aren't even compositional rules.
IMO an album cover should be a visual parallel to the "feel" of the music, it doesn't need to be exact but you want colors and shapes that match the sound and rhythm. I'd prioritize being able to express different feelings over the image itself really. Also, I'd try to match technique to technique, if the music is super weird go for mixed mediums and try to keep up.

But as the other guy said, just practice drawing circles. Unless you're going for technical circle exact stuff, it would just be faster to sketch a circle. Not many things in an actual painting are perfect circles anyway, so your initial sketch doesn't need to be perfect.

I've been waiting for weeks on end and It saddens me you guys not wanting to pirate it, like, I gave you one of the cgma courses and what do you give this anon when he doesn't have money uh? nothing! that's right
They're probably not that great, all I want from Krenz is to see the fucking videos of him painting like pic related, just that, but I think they don't exist
>>2542032 I don't see how a tutorial would help anyone with this. It doesn't look like he's using any complicated technical functions you'd need to be taught. Most of his pictures seem to rely on his experience. He's picking colors and mixing them himself and probably using only one or two brushes throughout. A simple step by step probably wouldn't give much insight into how he makes his design decisions or rendering decisions if it's all as intuitive to him as it comes across to me.
Because we should not have to make new threads or post in draw threads with our fundamental exercises. Feel free to post even the smallest exercise you have done to show you are still trying, do not give up, make your mom proud.
