Why should I or anyone have to pay $50 a month for a gym membership and eat boring disgusting foods like broccoli and kale when its not fun? Were only on this Earth for a short time and you spend majority of it inside a gym and starving yourself so you can have a sixpack that youll post on instagram. Out ancestors ate all they wanted and never cared about sixpacks, and they were more burly and manly than any pretty boy at a gym.

This whole gym fad needs to stop, and we need to start accepting all shapes and sizes because I'd rather have meat on my bones than a caved in stomach that makes me look like im sick.

Also. When Mad Max happens (and it will), the big people will lose weight and the sixpack boys will die of starvation.

Hey /fit/

Looking for advice here. To explain my situation: I am a 23 year old virgin desperate to increase my attractiveness to women. I've tried to improve everything - my social skills, my intellectual and social acumen via the pursuit of knowledge, my dress sense.... I even bought a very expensive car, well, more expensive than 90 percent of my college. Girls still don't like me. So, now, I turn to lifting.

I wish to avoid, what I consider to be, a quite brutal 'masculine' aesthetic. I wish to be noticeably refined, rather than large. Two questions that follow from this:

1) Is there any specific routine that focuses on muscle size growth and mantaining low body fat, rather than increasing lift strenght, or massively increasing size and weight?

2) Why do the routines advocated by /fit/ seem to have such a heavy focus on legs - the body part, which to my eyes, women seem to care least about? Further, (especially with an asian like me) legs seem liable to gain weight too rapidly compared to the upper body parts, which would lead to a comical appearance. Should I just do 'Rippletoes' starting strength but cut the leg portions of the routine in half?

I wake up, do 10 exercises for 30 minutes, lunch, then gym (lifting plus HIIT for 20 minutes) on Mondays Wednesdays and Thursdays
10 exercises for 30 minutes, lunch then Muay Thai on Tuesdays and Fridays

WHAT DOES IT MEAN?

Back when I was 18 I could lift so much for so long with heaps of endurance.

But now I get winded just doing a few pullups, 27 now. Thought I do lift heavier, just can't go as long as I use to.

Not much has changed aside from general ageing. Thoughts?

At what age did you start you /fit/ness journey?

To those that actually did make it, at what age was that? What have you learned from your experiences?

When I mean making it, I mean one or more of the following:
>deadlift lmao 5pl8 and/or squat 4pl8
>have an extremely aesthetic physique
>high tier competitive athlete in your sport

I know most of /fit/ is filled with DYELs, but I would like to hear from the lads that have "made it".

Ideally you would cut more before getting serious about lifting but I recommend sticking with it just so you get good practice on form. Just don't obsess about your progression until you get the bf down and start bulking

So I've got this pain in pic related, mostly when I'm barbell bench pressing. I press on a tendon in that area and it hurts. It doesn't hurt that bad when I'm benching, but the next day it hurts pretty badly if I don't take ibuprofen. What is this tendon and how can I make it stop hurting? I've also got some pretty bad pain on the outside of my elbow, especially when I straighten out my elbow.

Hi /fit/, for awhile I've been distracted by work, and when I get home, I'm almost always tired so all I want to do is play video games, or watch TV. This has led to me gaining about 5 pounds. Recently, I got a new job which is less energy intensive, so I have time to exercise.

I know this isn't my personal blog or anything, but I just wanted some quick advice, so I can gain my title as a non-fatass again.

What would you recommend for workouts to lose the weight I gained, and after that, how would I gain more muscle? Any help at all would be appreciated, thanks.

P.S. I'm on a low budget because I'm going through college, so the cheaper the better.
