>Curry Ketchup
So sick of fucking meme-sauce
"Urhhmurghhhhddd Curry is deh berrsst ebberrr!"
Yeah sure, it is a spice and the people who most often use it are an anemic bunch of underweight manlets who can't stop themselves from shitting in the streets. Lets add Curry to everything so we can all smell like shit and openly defecate!
Curry is fine for when you want to have an occasional "different" meal and feel "cultured" but fucking...

Man, you got triggered hard.
What's your fav cheese? Not what is healthiest, not what is the most expensive or applicable, what is your favourite cheese /ck/?
I'm a Smoked Applewood Pleb myself.
It's not original, but it's true: I love Cheddar. Not that orange shit though, the real deal.
I'm also partial to Colby.
>>7304133
Red Leicester is pretty nice too.
I'd go with a properly aged raw milk Camembert.
red pill me on premade hummus.
best brand?
best flavor?
pita talk also acceptable ITT
According to America's test kitchen, out of all the grocery store hummus commonly found, Sabra seemed to rate the highest.
Get the supremely spicy version if you can find it. it's gooood.
Premade anything is shit.
>>7300801
Going off this Sabra makes this tasty caramelized onion and paprika hummus. Would recommend.
I feel like these are undervalued, and haven't really been used outside their culinary origins
I use them mainly in asian food, but also as a steak marinade and an addition to duck
my gut says they should be made into a paste and used to impart a very strong flavour to a garnish ingredient
>>7299307
Never had these before, what are they like?
>>7299311
not even a little bit like pepper, they are a spice that really stands alone
the stand out characteristic is that they kind of numb your whole mouth andmake your tonge numb
for that reason they don't sit well with many things, mainly paired with hot hot chilli to make sichan food that is close to poison
>>7299318
How hot are they then? Like chilli hot? It seems a bit like rainbow peppers to me.
Eggs in everything is the worst current food trend. Especially with avocados and hamburgers. Gross yolk ruins a perfectly good hamburger. And burgers must be cooked well done, no exceptions.

>well done
Are one of those guys that orders a medium well steak?
eggs on burgers are great.
>>7298591
>well done
Are one of those guys that orders a medium well steak? However I do agree with you "food fads" are annoying.
Do americans really do this?
>>7293530
No, this effect was achieved through the use of motion control photography and "green screen" technology.
>>7293530
Put food in shopping carts at the supermarket? Normally yes, unless you only plan to get a few things that will fit into one of the baskets you can carry instead.
Don't people in other countries do this? How do they take all their groceries from within the store to the checkout if they don't use a cart?
GOTTA GET THE BREAD AND MILK

Currently drinking this. Pretty great actually, very boozy tho - one to drink over a while. Glad it wasn't another meme beer like KBS.
Oh and I had this on Sunday too. Also really great, don't think I've had a bad Founders beer yet.
>>7285875
You think breakfast stout is boozy? I've never heard that before
>>7285944
Could taste the high % of alcohol in it. I've had beers of similar ABV and not noticed it. Wasn't a criticism, just something I noticed.
Could just be me tho.
Hey guys, I need American recipes.
This summer, I will be having a Japanese exchange student coming to stay at my house, and they want to try traditional American food. Please grace me with your gift of cooking

Thank you very much anon!
Is blue cheese supposed to be bitter? I bought some today and had it by itself since I usually like the taste, but I've only had them from restaurants. Mine tasted pretty bitter and not like the strong, unique flavor that I'm used to. Is it supposed to be like this? Is it safe to eat?
>>7304928
I've never had a bitter blue cheese
get a refund on that shit unless its that saint agur stuff, which is supposed to taste of shit
I've had bitter beer face but never bitter bleu cheese.
>>7304944
Doesn't seem to be any special variety. I'll take it back just for good measure.
Sup /ck/? /b/ doesn't look like it's going to answer me on this but what the hell do I do with this stuff? I've read about it and seen it on TV, but never eaten it. I was just getting a late lunch at a Mexican joint down the street that is also a market and saw it and figured why not. I didn't even realize it was available in the states.
>>7304766
put it on a corn tortilla with guacamole and pico de gallo

>that guy who can't enjoy food unless cholula or some other type of hot sauce on it
I prefer something hotter for everyday use.
Hot sauce is great for zazzing up mediocre food.
Maybe your cooking is just shit.
>>7304578
i tried this crap
hot sauce should not be sickly sweet, why is this shit so popular

I've never found things like this to be amusing.

Yeah, I agree. Weird Al and his ilk can just shut the fuck up and stop saying things.
>>7304302
Shut the fuck up.
Okay so this is a weird question...
I've been brewing some makgeolli, which is basically korean rice beer. Anyway, I checked it today to stir it up, and there are small bugs around the edge of the fermentation bucket. Like weevils maybe... I don't know how the fuck they got in since it's been in a sealed bucket with an airlock, only opened briefly once a day to stir. I can only assume they were already in something I put in there. I didn't see any in the rice (which I thoroughly washed), plus I cooked it so I assume that would have killed them? My...

Rice weevils, they are common and burrow in rice. It's fine as long as your batch isn't spoiled.
>>7304203
I don't think it's spoiled, just smells like alcohol right now. Been fermenting for like 4 days at this point, and it's starting to slow down. Guess I'll just filter it and transfer to a carboy or something, and drink as soon as possible.
This stuff isn't meant to age anyway.
>>7304224
id assume the alchohol killed the bugs so if you filter them out you shouldnt have more outbreaks
