Angostura is a nice all around bitters. Bartenders who buy boutique bitters brands might find it underwhelming but I like it. Peychaud's is another popular choice, but might be more difficult to find.

You can try making your own, but you want to try a few different ones first, so you can an idea of what you should be looking for.

Angostura isn't overrated in my opinion. Peychaud's is also good but in my opinion it isn't as good as Angostura.

Fee's orange bitters are good too and they're a significantly different taste.

this place has a pretty decent reputation here in my hometown. it's part of a local restaurant group owned by a guy from here who apprenticed at the French Laundry way back in the day.

the dude has a japanese style steakhouse across the streat, a tapas bar next door and a fine dining flagship up the street. i've had good experiences at the all of them but this was my first time at the sushi joint.

seeing these improperly stored swords set my 'tism raging right away...

Coffee is shit. If you don't make it tolerable with cream & sugar, it's bitter shit. If you let it get cold, it's bitter shit. There is literally no reason to drink coffee. There's a handful of reasons not to, though. You're literally steeping seeds into water for a cocktail of heavy metals and pesticides, and it's making you demented.

Now tea, tea's the shit. Tea's where it's at. Tea's gone cold, you're wondering why? Doesn't matter. it's just as delicious as a hot brewed cup, perhaps even moreso. Tea's got all sortsa anti-occident goodies in it. Coffee will just stain your mouth. The dental industry is probably ecstatic that there're so many same-ass hivemind idiot coffee drinkers openly willing to destroy their dental situation with dirtwater. I drink lots of vodka. That cleans out my system, and even cleans my teeth (I haven’t brushed in years, and haven’t had a cavity since).

I also eat a liverwurst sandwich pretty much every day – to counterbalance the effects the vodka has on my liver. I make my sandwiches on seeded rye (because it’s the healthiest bread), with mayo (because eggs are the best protein; I use kewpie, because the msg makes it taste better), coarse mustard (good for the white blood cells), zucchini pickles (because they taste good), and a bunch of baby spinach (just for filler; it could honestly be left out).

I also eat a lot of canned fish (mostly sardines, but also the occasional fancy smoked oysters) on saltines. They give you all your essential amino acids, and provide a nice opportunity to try out various hot sauces, which are generally very low in calories, while high in flavor and immensely prodigious to healthiness.

Aside from that, I drink large amounts of water (anywhere between ice-cold to slightly chilled) every day, always through a straw, and sometimes with a lemon wedge.

To each their own, I say, but I’m just shy of 30 and am doing better than most of you.
